Chapitre 2: Card 002
Location: The city of magic Masadora
It is midday and our protagonist Isaac is walking around the city, he observes the npc's walking around talking to each other while he walks to his destination.
Isaac arrives at his destination which is a shrine hidden near the center of the city, while having a shrine in a city with weirdly shaped buildings would make it stand out but when someone looks at the shrine they will ignore it, like looking at a single blade of grass in a large field of flowers.
That is thanks to the bounded field around the shrine that is meant to keep others out, Isaac walks up to to the Tori gate and looks up "I am here to meet the star." After saying this Isaac's body gets surrounded by a bright light, when the light fades away Isaac has disappeared.
Isaac reappears in a large circular corridor with old traditional Japanese houses around a large wooden structure that has huge thick ropes around it.
Isaac starts walking towards the wooden structure while looking around, a couple of NPC's dressed in black and white kimonos are walking around carrying things around, when they see Isaac they walk out of his way and bow down to him only stopping when he walks past them.
Walking up to the wooden structure a hexagonal panel opens up and Isaac walks in to see a white haired woman in a white yukata sitting at a table drinking tea. "Hey Tengen, how are you today." Isaac casually asks this while sitting down and grabbing a banana from the bowl on the table. "I am doing fine dad, although it is a little boring with nothing to do." Tengen responded calmly while taking a small sip of her tea.
"Don't worry about that Tengen, players will be arriving in around two months and you will have something fun to watch while you are here." While Isaac says this he reminisces on how he became a father.
Flashback
When Isaac was just getting started he was with Zelretch in his observation room. "While I am very excited about the idea of greed island, how are you going to monitor and operate a whole island?" Zelretch asks while sitting in his chair after hearing Isaac's idea of the game. Isaac takes a rock out of his pocket and shows it to Zelretch "With this." Seeing the rock Zelretch stares at it for a bit but doesn't see or sense anything special about the rock.
Zelretch puts his hand on Isaac's shoulder gently and looks at him with the kindest look he has ever given. "Isaac you do not need to worry I will cash in a few favors to get the best healers from around the world come and check up on you, so for now just drink some water and have a good night of sleep. When you wake up I will have breakfast brought to you in your bed."
Isaac after hearing that get annoyed at Zelretch. "Shut up you old man! This is from one of the cards I was talking about it is called [Pregnancy Stones] it allows anyone, man or woman to become pregnant and have a child if you carry it for one month. The gender of the child will be determined by which stone you carry." He explains to Zelretch while putting the rock back in his pocket.
"But from what you said it should be impossible to use the cards or even summon the book outside of greed island so how are you doing it?" Zelretch states his inquiry as he scratches his beard with a thoughtful expression on his face. 'It is thanks to the system, who's only purpose is to let me make cards, assign others as game masters, mark objects and people, create NPC's, and let's me do things that can only be done in the game.' Isaac thought as he keeps a straight face while keeping his eyes on Zelretch who is staring back waiting for Isaac to answer his question.
"There are two reasons why." Isaac says with a serious tone in his voice while sticking up two fingers. "The first is because I am HIM and the second reason is that I am the game designer so I can do what others can't do, although in my personal opinion the first reason is about 90% to 99% of the reason why I can do it." Isaac says with a smug look on his face, Zelretch after hearing this looks at him with a deadpan expression on his face.
"At least this means I will be getting my first great grandchild soon, but from what I am hearing I am going to have to teach them myself with how dumb my grandson is." Zelretch states while looking off to the side with a look of sadness from hearing Isaac speak mostly nonsense. Clenching his fist in anger Isaac uses all of his will power not to punch the old man in front of him. "Actually it would be great if you can teach her everything you know about bounded fields, after she finishes learning she can help me setup and strengthen the bounded fields that will be used for greed island."
Zelretch puts on an thoughtful expression thinking about what he said, after one minute he shares his opinion. "Are you sure that is ok? While anyone I teach will no doubt become powerful and gain a large amount of influence for being my student, not a lot of people are tough or talented enough to handle it, many have even become crippled either from how weak they are or from me playing a joke on them." After hearing that Isaac has a confused expression on his face before he asks the question on his mind. "A joke?"
"I would send them to parallel worlds to toughen them up but they couldn't handle it either physically or mentally, sometimes both and when I get bored I would send them to a parallel world that is about to end, I even sent one of them into a zombie apocalypse unprepared." Zelretch reminisces about about all the fun times he had while Isaac looks at him with shock and horror before shaking his head to get rid of the doubts that have risen.
"Don't worry I have a way to inshore she can withstand most of what you can throw at her with ease, just make sure she becomes a master at using bounded fields." He says while dismissing Zelretch's worries for his soon to be conceived child.
"Alright with that decided let talk about more important things." Zelretch states while switching from a casual expression to a dead serious expression looking at Isaac with his hands crossed in front of his face. Seeing this Isaac also gets serious wondering what could possibly be more important at this time. "We need to organize a baby shower as well as discuss baby names for my first great granddaughter." Hearing this Isaac freezes up for a couple of seconds before trying to punch Zelretch only to miss when he dodges. "Damn old man! Stop messing around with me!" Isaac screams while he keeps trying to hit Zelretch while he laughs loudly and dodging all of the kicks and punches.
