Chapitre 139: Chapter 109.2 : Everit and Mirajane!!

"What?!" Everyone was thrilled.

"Isn't that the same as Natsu, Gajeel, and Laxus?!"

"In this way, our guild will have four Dragon Slayers!"

"Amazing!"

Wendy felt a bit embarrassed by all the praise.

On the second floor.

To the left.

Gajeel glanced at Natsu, then at Wendy, and finally focused on their cats. He was sweating and had a puzzled expression on his face. Gritting his teeth, he muttered, "There are... cats."

He couldn't figure it out. Natsu was fine—maybe he was a special case. But why did Wendy have a cat too? He was a Dragon Slayer too, but he didn't have a cat!

On the right side of the second floor.

Laxus folded his arms and leaned against the railing. He glanced at Carla and Happy before turning and walking away, leaving only two words: "Boring."

Wendy and Carla became the center of attention.

Mirajane approached Everit and leaned in slightly.

"What?" Everit asked, looking at her.

"Ah," Mirajane said, pretending to be sad. She covered her eyes with her delicate fingers and cried, "It's so sad that Mr. Everit didn't notice it."

"Notice what?" Everit asked, confused.

Mirajane looked up at him, tucking her hair behind her ears to reveal her flawless face. She smiled and said, "I'm going to punish you by making you come to my house to help tomorrow."

"Oh?" Everit tilted his head slightly and thought for a moment. "If it's physical work, I refuse. You can ask Elfman."

"Punishment cannot be refused," Mirajane said, shaking her hair as she turned and left.

"Stupid Everit," Lucy said helplessly.

"What's wrong?" Everit asked.

"Miss Mirajane smells great, don't you notice?" Lucy said.

"Yes, she always smells good. What's so strange about that?" Everit replied.

"If you're like this, you'd better not teach Happy how to pursue Carla," Lucy said, exasperated. "Miss Mirajane obviously uses very expensive perfume. It's fine if you don't know the brand, but how can you not tell the difference between perfume and body scent?"

Here's a simplified version of the fanfiction chapter you provided:

---

"Does it really make a difference? Wait, why are you spraying perfume for no reason?!" Everit quickly walked up to Mirajane, grabbed her wrist, and pulled her to the corner.

"What's wrong?" Mirajane looked at him, puzzled.

"Why are you using perfume when there's no occasion? Do you even need it?" Everit asked. He remembered reading in girls' comics that heroines always dressed up and used perfume before a date.

"Well," Mirajane smiled gently, "I use it sometimes."

"But why? You don't need it. Look, Cana, Erza, and Lucy don't use it."

"What does that have to do with you, Mr. Everit?" Mirajane tilted her head.

"Uh, I guess it doesn't," Everit said, realizing it. He let go of her hand and walked away.

"Cana gave it to me," Mirajane explained. "She said she didn't need the reward for the mission because she always smells like alcohol."

Everit paused but continued walking away briskly.

Mirajane chuckled and shook her head as she headed to the counter.

On the counter was the latest newspaper:

Title 1: The allied forces of the five major guilds defeated the Oración Seis.

Title 2: This week's horoscope - A key point in the long text [This week, Virgo boys are more likely to be attracted to new things…]

Wendy and Carla would naturally be in the girls' dormitory.

How that was arranged didn't concern Everit.

So he went home.

"Mr. Everit!" Ikaruga greeted him with surprise.

Everit's eyes lit up.

Usually, Ikaruga wore a kimono, but today she was dressed in a trendy outfit that highlighted her curves and drew admiration.

She had even styled her hair up, showing off her long, snow-white neck.

"Ikaruga, where did you get that new skirt?" Everit asked.

"Yes."

Ikaruga bent down to help Everit change into his slippers.

But she blinked in surprise—Everit had already changed into them himself.

When she looked up, she saw Everit holding a hot towel and wiping his hands. His wizard cloak and coat were already hung on a hanger nearby.

Ikaruga sighed, feeling helpless.

Miko looked down at Ikaruga with a condescending gaze. She was indifferent to what the women did to Everit or who he spent his time with. However, it was her responsibility to take care of Everit, as stipulated in their contract, and no one else was allowed to interfere in this matter.

"Emily is practicing kendo in the backyard," Ikaruga said just as Emily came running from the backyard like the wind.

The sweaty little girl dashed over and hugged Everit's waist.

"Master!"

With her flushed face beaming with joy, Emily said, "You're finally back! I've missed you so much!"

"Yes, and I brought you a gift," Everit said with a smile.

"What is it?" Emily asked eagerly.

"This," Everit said, taking out some beautiful textiles he had bought at the Cait Shelter.

These textiles were a specialty of the inn.

"They're so beautiful!" Emily said, hugging the textiles tightly and not letting go.

"When you have some free time, find someone to make some clothes or something with these," Everit suggested, looking at Ikaruga.

"Do I get one too?" Ikaruga asked with a smile.

"Emily gets to choose first," Everit replied with a grin.

"Oh, boss, you're so unfair," Ikaruga pretended to complain.

"Alright, I'm going to take a shower. I can't stand this sticky feeling anymore," Everit said.

Too Much Exercise!

Everit was drenched in sweat, which made him feel uncomfortable. He decided to head to the second floor to take a bath.

"Everit," Miko called softly from beside the bathtub.

"What's up?" Everit asked, playing with Miko's tentacles.

"I'm hungry."

"Then go cook something."

"Okay."

Miko got up and went to prepare a meal.

Early the next morning, Everit packed up and headed out.

"Hey, Mr. Everit, are you going out today?" Ikaruga asked, surprised.

Normally, after completing a mission, Everit would be down for a while before bouncing back. He usually stayed in bed feeling groggy the next day.

But today, he seemed unusually energetic.

"Oh, I have something to take care of. You all can manage lunch on your own," Everit replied.

He walked towards Mirajane's house. Despite saying yesterday that he wouldn't help with physical work, he knew this task from Mirajane wouldn't be just about lifting things.

Mirajane was not someone to be easily dismissed.

He knocked on her door.

"Come in," Mirajane called out.

When Everit entered, he saw Mirajane hanging clothes in the yard.

"Did I come at a bad time?" Everit asked with a smile.

"Actually, it's quite good. Congratulations," Mirajane said. She had picked up a pair of panties but set them aside to hang up a skirt instead.

"Do you need my help?" Everit asked, looking into the basket.

"No need, 'kind' Mr. Everit. Just sit down and rest for a bit," Mirajane replied, smiling as she stood in the middle of the room.

"Alright then," Everit sighed.

"What a shame," Mirajane said with a mock regretful tone.

"That's not happening," Everit said, turning his head away.
