"She's burning with fever. I didn't even notice she was this sick when you brought her to the party with you." He supposed that he and Li Yuanyi could only confirm this once the doctor made an acurate prognosis of Li Meili's condition.

Zhang Jiren returned to the private ward where Li Meili was in, but it seemed like the doctor as well as the nurses were not yet done. He just saw a nurse leaving in a hurry with Li Meili's sample of blood in her hand.

His brows knitted at that. What could be wrong with Li Meili that the doctor requested to do blood work on her? Zhang Jiren could only wait for them to finish while he checked his watch for the umpteenth time, waiting for Li Yuanyi's arrival. What was taking him so long? He wondered.
