Chapitre 324: Carrying the blame

"We don't know…but —— we do have the messages that the woman sent us," spoke the man as blood trickled down his temple and down in his mouth, making him gurgle.

He wanted to spit the blood that had gotten inside his mouth but couldn't as it hurt too much.

"Edward," Noah turned to look at the man beside him who nodded and then walked over to the bleeding man. 

He then crouched down and started searching the pockets of the man before finding what he was looking for.

Edward straightened up and brought the phone of the hoodlum to Noah, who gingerly picked it up as he did not like touching the belongings of others. 

With a few taps, Noah unlocked the phone and went straight to the app where the text messages were saved.

His fingers glided on the screen before coming to a stop at a familiar number. Noah narrowed his eyes and read the messages one by one——
