Kahglia wanted to tightly grab hold of Toz as soon as that thought struck her. She wanted to pry the answer out of him as soon as she could. But she couldn't do that. And it wasn't because it would be rude or anything like that. There was no way something like ethics, morals, or manners would stop her if it meant confirming what she thought Toz might be up to.
It was the fact that Toz was more slippery than a sleek fish in a vat of oil. Even if she wanted to capture him, Toz would just slip out of her grasp and zip through space until he was out of her reach. There was also another matter that Kahglia had to care about, at least at the moment.
She didn't fit through the doors and halls of the ship, so she couldn't even get to Toz to interrogate him without destroying the thing that kept most of them safe from the pressure of the Void.
I went back and added a sentence to fix the continuity error last chapter. I also brought it up this chapter, though, so there's no need to go back and check. Thanks for reading :)
