Chapitre 146: Dark Souls Butchery

The group appear in the now twilight Anor Londo, unfortunately with the death of the Fire Keeper who worshipped Gwyndolin the bonfire is not usable anymore. Logan steps forward while admiring the city, "Truly the city of the gods, I was told the sun shone eternally on these lands though." He asks confused. Reima lets a grin spread across his face, "The sun disappeared after I killed the Sun Princess Gwynevere, Grigg's and Logan send him a disbelieving look as they contemplate the credibility of such a statement.

Solaire ignores the talking and looks towards the city, am angry frown present on his face. Reima had said he knows of Gwyndolin's location, while he wants to tear his spine out with his bare hands he'll be willing to wait until everything else is accomplished... He still isn't sure if he should bring Priscilla with him though.

Reima points to a building that has a single Giant Knight guarding a stairway that presumably leads up the mountain and towards the Scaleless dragons library. As they approach Logan raises his staff and casts a larger than normal Crystal Soul spear, which blows a massive whole through the Giant chest plate, it fades away as it's soul is absorbed by Reima.

Logan "Huh, I was expecting these elite warriors to take more than a single spell." He says semi-cockily, Reima knows he's just trying to show off as a conjuration that size is difficult to maintain even for the best Sorcerers. Grigg's claps as he quickly follows Logan, adulation in his eyes.

The sun bro's just shrug when they see this and continue ascending the stairs, they eventually reach an entrance to a brightly lit tunnel that seems to go on forever. Reima's eyesight allows him to spot the giant metal boar preparing to charge at anyone trying to gain access to the archives, he's tempted to let Logan bluster his way through it but the amount of time it'd take to get back on track stops him.

Reima "Guys, start conjuring your spells... There's a large enemy that's gonna be charging us in a moment." The group doesn't question him as they can already hear the quick heavy steps echoing throughout the tunnel, as soon as the group spot the boar they shoot two Crystal Soul spears, one regular Soul spear and a Sunlight spear. Needless to say the Boar was torn apart in spectacular fashion, if it didn't fade away so quickly Reima would be tempted to try cooking the "Pulled pork" that was left on the floor and walls. Luckily for him they find another Boar hiding around a corner in some kind of ambush attempt... Reima uses an overpowered Axii on it and has it lie down, the others look on confused as Reima retrieves the large butcher knife/machete and slams it fiercely in between the armoured plates that make up the boars skin. It gives a horrified squeal as it regains it's senses and tries to run away, only to fall on it's side due to it's missing leg, Reima gives a slightly sadistic chuckles as he starts slowly but surely taking the boar apart, making sure it's alive during the whole process so it's meat doesn't disappear with it.

Solaire "My friend, isn't this a little too far to obtain some meat?" he asks unnerved by Reima's actions.

Reima wipes the blood from his face with a smile, "I've been eating dried meat since I came here... I want real food!" he says as he servers the only remaining limb from the boar, it's subsequent squeal hoarse and tired from it's previous attempts to escape this psychopath. He stores the meat into his Folded Space and drops the cleaver on the poor animals neck, ending it's suffering. The blood fades away into white mist as Reima imagines the roast he'll cook later. He looks up and sees Logan having no real reaction to him except that he seems to be licking his lips... Reima hopes he's thinking about meat and not about his students, he can't really tell what the senile old man is thinking most of the time.

The group continue into a lobby-like room and light the bonfire on the side before activating the elevator that leads to the archives. He remembers in the game that Seath is supposedly unkillable one you first fight him, Reima racks his memories for a logical reason to this but he comes up short.

Reima "Have you guys heard about Seath's apparent immortality?" he asks, hoping one of them would have an answer to this important question.

Grigg's shrugs and Logan seems to go into story telling mode, "Ah yes, Seath's bid for immortality... There isn't actually that many historical accounts of why Seath decided to betray his brethren beside his obvious lack of scales, It as only when I was scouring the libraries of Vinheim that I found a book stating that Seath has stolen an artifact from the ancient dragons... One so precious that he had to flee to the enemies side." The group continue to listen, the old man apparently not bad at telling stories and fables. "That artifact was known as the Primordial Crystal... I have a few theories on what it actually is but that's another tale entirely, anyhow if the records are accurate you will need to destroy the Crystal to be able to defeat him." Reima nods, the mention of the Crystal reminds him of the boss fight in the game.
