Chapitre 3: Chapter 3 First New world Duel.

Exiting the Alleyway I look around at the masses of people each with their own Duel disk.

Within the crowd I can see some people I can recognise like Rex raptor and Weevil underwood (take two guesses what kind of decks they run, no rush I'll wait).

Honestly the amount of people with Duel disks is staggering to be honest if I remember right it takes 6 glass cards to get into the finals and there were 8 places so that would mean there should only be 48 duellists you would think but there's at least 200 people here in the tournament.

Sighing I walk away from the street Kiba did his address and follow the crowd to spread though out the city, Domino city is actually way cleaner than I thought it would be, maybe its because all the trash goes into the weirdly plentiful amount of dark foreboding alleys there are, no joke there at least 12 connected to that plaza alone.

my ruminations about dark alleys is cut short as I feel a tap on my back, Turning around I become face to face with a lanky lad who's hair style can be described as a red puffball.

"Yes ?" I say politely, while getting a better look than just a quick glance and notice the Duel Disk on his arm.

as if to emphasise the Duel Disk he raises his arm, "I challenge you to a Duel."

Looking at him curiously I just smile "Sure, but What's your ante card." as I say this I reach into my own deck and take out a card since I remember in battle City each player had to ante their rarest card, since I'm not an idiot and knowing Malenia, goddess of rot is a card best kept secret for now since Kiba is always watching.

"Reveal on the count of three. One, two, three."

revealing Malenia's first card is as bad but to trick him a little I hide the text box section with my hold.

I'm less worried using Malenia's first card as the ante card since Kiba and the Card Hunters would be hunting for rare cards, this is makes me a smaller target instead of showing off a unknown God card, using the first card during the duels here would make Kiba presume I'm at best the same strength of Joey but with a card as strong as Dark Magician, there's a slight chance Marik's Card hunters would go for me but the chance of actually catching Marik's attention until the Finals is nearly nothing when he has a Hard on for the Pharaoh.

The Eyes of the red haired guy become confused at Malenia.

"What kind of card is that, I will admit the 2500 ATK is great but I've never seen it before."

Quickly with a quip I say "If you never seen it before it means its not common knowledge making it even more rare."

My words make him interested in the card, I take a few steps back and activate my Duel Disk, I'm slightly surprised when it shoots out a pair of devices that fly to the sides, Those must be the holographic projectors, I forgot they did that in the first season.

Looking over at my opponent I watch as he does the same thing, the Duel disk lights up probably linking up for the duel before the value 4000 is written along a display on the duel disk.

I say to him, "lets get started you, you can go first" letting him go first he draws a card from his deck and increases his hand size to 6.

"I send my Thunder dragon to the graveyard, due to its effect this allows me to add two more Thunder dragon's from my deck to my hand." the action increases his hand size to 7.

"Then I'll summon my Opticlops in Attack mode then place 2 cards face down and end my turn."

Looking at the Normal monster I'm reminded this is the era of beat stick Normal monsters, to be reasonable an 1800 ATK normal monster in this time was very rare.

Drawing a card I look at my hand finding some interesting cards but I don't have a card that would allow to just beat the Opticlops in battle so I'll play defensively.

"from my hand I summon a monster Face down in Defence Mode then play a face down card in by back row, I'll end my turn."

Drawing a card he examines the field "ha, so scared of my monster are you, that you had to play a Face down monster, well too bad its useless, I play a card from my hand."

The Cyclops on the field grabs onto the air and gains a pinkish glowing rock in its hand.

"now Opticlops Attack that face down monster" As he commands the cyclops charges at my face down and as he Slams the Meteor down like a Neanderthal the card flips open as Six Pale White arms appear to grab onto the arm before they could reach down and hit, Revealing himself a Pale Skinned Man in a grungy Red Robe appears sitting on a white Insect like being waving his finger at the cyclops like a Teacher reprimanding a student.

'My, my, my. isn't this one quite the specimen, I do wonder what Life his corpse would manifest' looking at Gowry I hear and see the projection speak to me but no one else seems to react to his words.

concentrating on the duel I continue, "When Gowry is Flip summoned I'm allowed to Search my deck for two specific cards and add them to my hand." as I say this the duel disk lights up and two cards pop out of the deck individually, taking the cards I watch as the deck shuffles itself using its technology.

annoyed that his monster failed to defeat mine my opponent continues on. "second main phase, i'll Summon Alligator's Sword in attack mode then end my turn.

Seeing the field I draw a card and smile as I draw something very useful with my current hand.

"I summon to the field Miquella, the Kind in Attack mode."

A ring of light appears upon the ground and Rising from the ring like there's a platform raising him though the hole in the ring of light appears a Small White skinned Pre-teen boy with golden braided hair that reaches to the ground, he looks towards the Red haired opponent with a look of contempt. 'This is the first victim to our plans, he looks like he came from the carnival.' to be honest I don't disagree with him.

my opponent speaks up, "why did you summon a monster with nearly no Attack points in Attack position, are you trying to throw the duel."

looking at my opponent i just speak "no, I'm not since When Miquella is summoned he allows me to search my deck for a Field card." I pause as my deck dispenses the field card. "which i'll activate right now."

pressing a button on the Duel disk a slot very similar to a CD drive appears, placing down the field card, the technology flashes lightly before the surroundings start to take on a new form. the world around us forms a still image of a large room made of vines and plants and depicted in the roots is the body of a woman with her womb ripped out.

"I play The Haligtree Roots."

my opponent is visibly shaken at the surroundings for a second before realising its not real.

"ok now that the Haligtree roots is on the field I play from my hand the card Sibling Bond!"

the card appears on the field and it depicts Miquella and Melania in each other embrace in a hug.

"I can play this card when Miquella, the kind is on the field, It allows me to search the deck and Special summon His Twin Sister Melania, Blade of Miquella!"

The Sibling Bond card seems to start to crack before bursting into a Cloud of Red Butterflies which float away serenely to reveal a Tall Female Figure wearing a Golden winged helmet which covers her eyes and a Fully prosthetic Golden arm wielding a Sharp Blade ready to Cut down any challenger.

She walks onto the field as if given new life and locks onto the presence of Miquella, in no time at all she dashes to him and lifts him up in her embrace, the siblings reunited at last.

the moment is cut short as She focuses on everything else around her, She sees me and a Bowing Gowry on one side and a Cyclops and walking alligator warrior on the other.

Out loud that even my opponent reacts to her words she says her iconic line.

"Heed my words. I am Malenia, Blade of Miquella. And I have never known true Defeat."
