Chapitre 55: Reunions 2

Joane entered the Courtyard of Intrepidity and walked slowly. Her clothes were stained with coagulated blood, dirt, and small pieces of leaves. The makeshift bandage made from Kizaer's clothes still clung to Joane's side.

Now that she was in a safe environment, her body relaxed, and the absence of adrenaline allowed the pain to resurface, the girl grimaced but did not allow this obstacle to stand in her way.

As Joane crossed the courtyard, the servants and female warriors paused in their tasks to observe her. They all knew what had happened, and Joane's return, walking on her own feet, was a matter of honor within the Armanci Clan and so, all who witnessed her passing greeted her silently with their fist in their hands.
