Laying in the casket of flames Damian's body refused to listen to him. He wasn't aware if it was because of exhaustion or merely because his body was burned to the point where it no longer could move but the end result didn't change.
'Am I really losing to that piece of shit? Even after all I said to Sirzechs and Rias?' Damian questioned himself, his mind teetering on the edge of exhaustion. Even as the flames licked his body and burned his skin he didn't flinch, he couldn't flinch.
He talked so big, he made so many plans, and yet he didn't get to do any of them. He had intended to break open Riser's chest and stick a cross in it or to throw holy water down his throat but he didn't get to do any of it.
No matter how many bones he broke or how much fire he made, Riser's regeneration never slowed down for him to do anything. He thought he planned sufficiently but he hadn't and now he was going to lose because of it.
'Am I going to lose?' Damian questioned himself once more, dissatisfaction burning in his chest yet he couldn't move his body. 'Am I going to let Rias live with that chicken piece of shit?' He asked himself solemnly.
He hated three things most in life, people who treat his family like shit, people who are shit, and people who watch people act like shit. Right now, he was looking at the embodiment of two of the three and yet he couldn't do anything about it.
'... I really hate chickens. They shit everywhere.' Damian suddenly thought, his mind hazy from exhaustion and pain. 'Their eggs arent even that good. Why do chickens live?' Damian asked himself crazily.
His mind was going blank and he felt disassociated from his body in a different way than his soul felt from it. It felt like he was floating but his body wasn't moving, it just stayed on the ground. Didn't that suck?
'All chickens should die.' Damian abruptly declared to himself, a small cracking sound like an egg being broken echoing in his ears. 'Was that an egg? Who's cracking an egg? Can I have an egg? Ah, but chickens suck so eggs suck.' Damian thought to himself, his thought process strange beyond belief.
Energy moved through his damaged body, the never ending stream of power ravaging his already damaged body. Blood leaked from his nose like a blood faucet and his senses felt oddly dissociated, like he was underwater but flying through the air.
"Man, I'm pissed." Damian declared, forcefully rising to his feet while power he's never felt before ran through his veins, enhancing him to the point where he felt invincible. He could see Riser looking at him in a mix of shock and anger but the current Damian didn't care about that.
All he cared about was killing all the chickens in the world. How dare they shit everywhere with their terrible smelling shits? Why don't they use toilets like everyone else? Did they think they were better than him?!
Pointing his burned finger at Riser anger swelled in Damian's heart as he looked at Riser in pure hatred. Riser was a Phenex, a Phenex was a phoenix, and phoenixes were chickens. "I hate chickens." Damian declared crazily, his voice full of wrath and madness.
"... What?" Riser spoke incredulously, his confusion so strong that it even overpowered the anger he should feel at being called a chicken. He couldn't understand how somebody like Damian suddenly went mad.
"They shit everywhere and it smells! It pisses me off! I'm going to kill all the chickens and take their eggs! Then I'll have an egg monopoly!" Damian declared crazily even as blood flowed down his damaged body, pink energy surrounding himself like a thick mist.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Riser couldn't help but ask, completely bewildered by the suddenly insane child in front of him. At first, he was insane when it came to sacrificing his limbs to punch him but now he was literally insane.
"You're a chicken so I'm going to kill you and take your eggs!" Damian declared, suddenly leaping toward Riser at a speed the Phenex couldn't even react to. He only knew something had happened after he felt dozens of punches with incomparable power land on his body, damaging him faster than he could repair himself.
Feeling truly threatened and more than a little intimidated by his opponent's insanity Riser tried to increase his heat as much as possible to push the insane bastard away but he couldn't manage it with the intense pain attacking his mind.
"G-Get off me yo-" Riser began however a swift punch to his face that shattered his jaw and broke all his teeth put a stop to that, his eyes momentarily turning white as he blacked out from the pain.
However his rest was short lived as a powerful punch landed on his torso, the pain forcing him awake and the impact forcing his lunch outside his body. However, he couldn't even release the tide of bile attempting to escape his body as his neck was repeatedly punched alongside the rest of his body.
Suffocation, dozens of broken bones each second, and his organs repeatedly exploding within his body finally brought Riser to his limits, his mind forcefully deactivating itself and his regeneration to survive the intense pain without any regard for the actual damage being incurred endlessly.
Blood leaked from Damian's entire body, his body turning crimson from his own blood that covered his body, yet he did not stop his punches even after he saw that Riser had passed out and was no longer regenerating.
It was only after he suddenly found himself a few dozen meters away with a firm hand placed on his shoulder that he stopped for a second, exhaustion instantly taking him over as he fell face first toward the ground before he was stopped by a rough and familiar palm.
"Good work." Ajuka muttered softly as he looked at Damian's unconscious figure before a frown overtook his face. Tapping a few places on Damian's forehead the overwhelming flow of energy emerging from Damian's soul was stopped in its tracks.
Somehow or another, his soul had been creating nigh infinite energy using a process similar to nuclear fusion by taking in outside mana and smashing it together with his own energy, infinitely creating more and more energy. The issue was, his body couldn't handle that energy.
It wasn't because his body was weak since his demonic energy was naturally strengthening his body, it was because his body simply couldn't keep up. It was like trying to use two devices, a modern computer and one from six decades ago and have them compute equally.
It simply wasn't feasible, the newer computer would easily outperform the old one and the latter would irreversibly damage itself trying to keep up if things continued. To stop that from happening Ajuka completely stopped the 'connection point' between the soul and the body.
Until a solution could be found or Damian's body could keep up with the infinite energy made by his soul, Damian would not be able to create more demonic energy than he currently held. For a devil, that was practically a death sentence.
"I wonder how you'll solve this issue." Ajuka muttered to himself, his figure alongside the two combatants vanishing without a trace.
