“Hi no Tori…” the system announced the skill being activated. The skill's name was derived from the word phoenix. It was a skill that allowed the target to absorb flames for one minute in exchange for 11 SP.

The target of the skill was Aya. Aya was quickly slashed with Taka's blade following confirmation that the skill behaved as expected. However, the blade did not cause any damage but increased Aya's HP instead.

“Wait…just like that?” Once he had defeated the enemies in front of him, he turned to Taka and Aya. As he watched Taka heal Aya’s HP, he seemed shocked. The young man who was unable to utter his own voice first activated a skill on Aya to allow her to absorb fire. After that, he slashed his Fire-Elemental sword at her. While the damage was not as powerful as when attacking monsters, it had restored her HP by over ten thousand.
