"Why is that thing here?" Jon shouted as his face, along with everybody else's, went pale right away.
"It's… the Numidium!" Wulfur spoke in complete horror.
"Oblivion, take me!" Alina cursed with her body shaking from the sheer thought of running into the Brass God.
"What?" Jon looked at them in bafflement, "No! That's not the bloody Numidium, thank the seven heavens."
He looked back at the gargantuan Dwarven Animunculi again and felt like his head was getting lighter.
To explain what he was seeing, we need to go back in time two days before the exploration teams enter Blackreach.
Two days ago, Jon ran into and annihilated hundreds of Falmer and Dwarven Animunculi around the tower of Alftand as everyone kept going down.
The plan wasn't just to go down but to completely and fully invade the ruins and secure them for further operation. This meant completely disabling the Dwarven steam pipes and shutting down the Animunculi which come out from the maintenance hatches regularly.
This also involved completely exterminating the Falmer camps around the tower and that meant doing the job Ysgramor and his 500 companions didn't finish ages ago. It meant killing every Falmer they come across from their old to their young and burning everything, leaving no chance for the Falmer to appear from Alftand ever again.
Those are just fiendish monsters so it was all fair the way Jon saw it.
Finally and after a long time of fighting and securing Alftand, the group arrived at the deepest point of the tower where it was only a large hall with an altar in its center. A few Dwarven Animunculi appeared to defend the place including a couple of Dwarven Centurions but at this time, all the available Dare Troopers were very experienced in handling and defeating the Dwarven machines.
But there at the deepest of Alftand where Jon finally stood and waited for the rest of the teams to gather. Everything from that point up was secured and all that is left is to do the magic.
And by the Magic, it means locating the secret door in the room.
With over a hundred Dare Troopers present as well as some of Winterhold's elite such as Wulfur and Mjoll, Jon stood between this force and gave a short speech.
"Whatever lies beyond is something I'm sure that most of you won't believe exists but now that we have reached this point, it is time you know the true treasure which lies beyond." He said, "Just promise me to keep your heads low if there's something more than what you can handle. Also, there will be an important point which we need to secure once we go past this point. Mjoll and Wulfur will pass the details."
The important point Jon was talking about is the Great Lift of Alftand, the ancient elevator which connects Blackreach directly to the surface where the rest of the Dare Troopers wait.
Still, to open the doors to Alftand, Jon needed to activate the ancient mechanism which unlocks the door. For that, he used the Attunement Sphere by inserting it in. The circular mechanism rotated in circles and the land beneath Jon shook and gave off dust as the old things were finally moving.
He jumped back after he retrieved the Attunement Sphere and watched as the stone floor opened up and revealed a stairway hidden beneath it. At the end of it was a great gate.
"Here it is." Jon spoke and took the lead walking slowly to the gate which he gently pushed.
His gentle push was akin to ten growing men moving away the heavy gates while gritting their teeth but he walked through the gates confidently into something completely unexpected.
The Dare Troopers were stunned by the bright light they saw.
They thought that they were finally out of Tower Alftand but once they really took a good look outside, they were out of words.
There was a sky filled with stars, a road surrounded by houses, mushrooms as tall as trees, and a city as big as Winterhold and Saarthal combined.
The stars were actually the cave's ceiling dotted with luminous flora, the houses were an old Dwarven ruin, the mushroom trees were a variant of the Glowing Mushrooms, and the city was Blackreach.
"Let the historians record that after a thousand years from the Three Banners war, Jon Dare and his 100 Troopers were the first to rediscover the Great Lost City of Blackreach."
His words echoed and the hearts of men started to heaten up for the glory that is to come.
Blackreach is the talk of legends, the myth everyone heard about when they grew up. The secret city of the great Dwarves who built machines and weapons unrivaled by any race.
Think of the lost city of Atlantis, then think of Blackreach. That's how it meant to many.
But the party didn't even get started and Jon was having more plans within his plans. He walked ahead to the base of Tower Alftand and walked around to calculate the next step.
"Jon, the men are in good spirits." Wulfur spoke, "Your orders."
"Our numbers are too few to explore this place alone." Jon spoke and turned around, "Many untold dangers are lying in these deep grounds. Ancient Evils that remained await for eons. There are also Falmer of untold numbers and what we saw before was merely a scouting party. It will be ten times more dangerous from now onward."
The men heard Jon and hardened their nerves. They were the most disciplined and best troopers, each of them being able to wield their power Aura well. Jon wasn't worried about them.
"The last thing you need to know is to never pick anything up from now on. Everything here, including those mushroom trees, is rotten poison." Jon said, "Our next objective is to push towards the east as fast and as soon as possible. We will encounter heavy resistance from the Falmer but remember, once we set out, there is no going back."
The formation was set, the plan was rechecked, the target was located. It was time to move towards the east where the Great Lift lies. Once that is secured, Jon and the majority of the party will wait for it to be reactivated and reach the surface with it.
Once that is secured, Winterhold will have a direct way in and out of Blackreach and the reinforcements will be unlimited.
Jon expected to meet resistance the moment he got close to the buildings nearby but the moment the formation was made and the group moved as one, Dwarven Spheres started flowing towards the team. A small fight broke out in which the machines were swiftly dismantled but the busting skirmish caused many to come whether they were Dwarven Animunculi or Falmer.
The city seemed to be broken into territories. The ones that the machines hold and the ones that the Falmer conquered. Each place had its advantages in offense and defense which made the newly arriving Human force to be struggling between the raids and the attacks that came from everywhere.
Jon displayed his power time and time again as he took the lead. He was unstoppable in his pace and was very focused on both his enemies and his destination. His lightning spells would hit the Falmer and turn them into ash on contact while it would completely disturb the machines and cause them to malfunction.
Once he reached the area near the great lift, the Falmer seemed to have established a settlement around it thus he started burning everything in his way. What was left in his wake was ash and broken Falmer corpses which he completely disintegrated right away.
Jon seemed invincible to his men but today was the day Jon's invincibility would be put to the test.
Once Jon destroyed the Falmer camp, those who survived ran towards the inner part of the city where a large fortress stood. Suddenly, a great wall of fire consumed them all without even leaving a single of both Falmer and Dwarven architecture.
From behind the fortress stood out a Dwarven machine… the greatest Dwarven Animunculi anyone has ever seen.
It was so large it almost Dwarfed the fortress it stood by. And that machine was patrolling the ancient city.
"Shit!" Jon remembered something, "Why is that thing here?"
Everyone looked at Jon.
"Throughout the Dwarven Ruins in Skyrim, only three of this menace exist and they were set to protect the most important locations in the Dwarven Empire." Jon spoke.
Three of them? A machine of that scale and nobody knows about it.
Of course nobody would, they haven't been seen since the Three Banners war over a thousand years ago.
It is the largest known Dwarven Animunculi ever built aside from the Numidium. It is also the superweapon of the Dwarven Empire
It is called the Dwarven Colossus.
A King Kong amongst the other animunculi.
It didn't exist in Skyrim as a game but someone thought it would be immersive to download it as a mod.

——————————
The fresh air of Winterhold purified the lungs of those who descended the filthy ruins underground. It has been three days and the excavation was a success.
By powering up the Great Lift of Alftand, the 100 Dare Troopers underground went out and another 200 went down. Jon was willing to invade Blackreach as soon as possible and he wasn't going to wait.
The 200 that went down weren't just Dare Troopers but also masons, architects, military engineers, and mages. They went down with supplies and resources that can last them a month and the lift kept coming and going for some time.
In order to bypass the limitations of the lift, Jon even spent a lot of resources to start constructing a Teleportation Array in Blackreach but he was faced with difficulties as it seemed that the Dwarves have protected their city from unauthorized teleportation travels by some sort of secret techniques.
Jon was familiar with that and knew it would take him a long time to dispel so he started working on it right away.
As he returned back to Saarthal for some decent sleep beside his wives, Jon was met with the report of another dragon sighting near Markarth.
After almost a month of silence, the Dragons finally started to cause trouble again. It seemed that destroying one branch of their cult has set their plans back by a lot.
Also, there was a report on Dragon Cult activity but an accident happened and a few Dare Agents fell in action as the enemy discovered them. This infuriated Jon as he vowed vengeance for his loyal men.
He oversaw the project in Blackreach as the company stretched its influence wider and their income reached a point where it was never higher. All the money which Jon spent on the bank project and the new system renovations have all been paid back sooner than he expected.
Right away, he started a charity for the poorest families in the hold where he distributed 3% of this year's income until he filled the pockets of the poor to the edge of his hold. Following his example, the other clans and businesses started doing the same.
While this seemed strange, Jon's plan was to support the poor so he can end the low-class phenomenon. The problem with capitalism is that it makes the rich get richer and the poor get poorer but with this type of charity and many following the example, this seemed like a solution if it was agreed upon as an annual charity custom.
Still, the turbulent times were coming to no end now that the motions of fate started to become upset. In the early morning, while working in his office, Jon felt something around him.
"Jull, Nefertiti." He called.
"What?"
Jullanar's head peaked from the couch where she was lying and Nefertiti jumped on Jon's desk pushing down a few items in the way… intentionally.
"Do you guys feel something?" He asked.
The two of them stopped whatever they were doing and looked around.
"Nope." "Nya."
"I feel as if something is crawling through my land. A presence of a sort." He said.
"Maybe a spy?" Jullanar asked, "You know they get active during dawn time."
"No. That's far too skilled to be a mere spy." Jon said, "Nefertiti, stick to the shadows. Jull, lock down the tower."
"You sure…" Jullanar asked but Jon and Nefertiti were already gone, "Whatever."
Jullanar pushed herself up the couch and went to a hidden lever behind a nearby painting then she pulled it down. The sound of Magicka was heard as the tower was now warded from the outside world.
Meanwhile, Jon appeared in Winterhold alongside Nefertiti. He was exactly standing on the bathhouse roof and watching whoever was coming and going in and out of the college in the early morning.
Alina was walking in the street by herself as she carried a few books on her arm. She seemed to be heading early to the College in order to prepare for her weekly class. Still, she wasn't noticing the strange space anomaly that was following her.
Someone has the galls to go after Alina… his Alina?
The look on Jon's face was that absolute abhorrence. His gritting teeth started to make sparks fly and veins started pooping on his face. The look on his eyes, however, was so cold that it would freeze the winter itself.
As Alina walked on the College bridge, Jon silently descended and didn't reveal his presence to her. He walked between her and the space anomaly forcing it to come to a halt. Until Alina took some distance away, only then when the scene advanced.
The space anomaly started to increase its output as if linking two places together. Just like on a mirror or a slate of glass, cracks started to appear left and right on Reality in front of Jon who watched with patience. However, once that ran out, Pride appeared right away on Jon's hand.
Immediately, he struck the reality cracks with the head of his staff forcing it to shatter and a rift appeared in the void. He smashed again and again for the crack to widen until it was large enough.
The maniac look on his face and the way he hit the space anomaly with all his strength could tell of his mental condition at the moment. His face approached the Reality Rift he made and with his smile on, he identified himself.
"Here's Jonny!"
Historians recorded that the amount of horror this action caused to whoever hid in the space anomaly was so immense that it put them on therapy for a few years.
Either, Jon widened the space rift and stabbed in a very interesting scenery. There were people around him screaming and crying from the sheer horror they have been through but among them stepped an elderly elf who dressed in a unique robe of a mage.
He waved his hands and the crying people were removed from the place and teleported somewhere else.
"You have interrupted my business and caused great horror upon my disciples. I would like to ask you for an explanation and compensation." The man spoke.
"Come again, bro!" Jon replied with thug-like expressions.
"I said you have interrupted my business and…" The Elderly Elf spoke again but he was interrupted.
"What business do you have to stalk my wife?" Jon asked.
"Oh! So it was like that." The Elf seemed to have understood what Jon was upset about.
"I don't have all morning. Why were you stalking my wife, old perv?" Jon asked once again as he cracked his neck.
"I'll explain it to you once." The Elf replied, "She is a special person of great fate. I was planning to contact her but I had to figure out what kind of a person I am dealing with first."
"Contact my wife?" Jon asked.
"Yes." The Elf replied.
"Without my permission?" Jon asked again.
"I don't think this is any of your busin…"
The Elf replied to Jon trying to push him out of the matter but as he was still talking, something bounced off a horror tale and rushed towards the elderly elf. It was a large bloody mouth filled with numerous unorganized fangs of all shapes and types.
The Elf immediately teleported backward at the nick of time.
"I'd choose my words a bit more wisely if I were you." Jon said as he retreated Gluttony back to his side.
It felt like a surprise to the Elf who didn't know how to react. Jon displayed strange abilities that defy sense but this Elf is also specialized in what defies sense.
"I would be lying if I said I am not interested in all that you do, young Nord." The Elf retrieved a staff out of thin air and showed a smile worthy of a battle-hungry warrior.
"Let's move out of the city." Jon said.
"Don't you know?" The Elf asked, "You are in a mirror dimension?"
Jon frowned and looked around him. He noticed earlier that the world was flipped left to right since the start but he had no idea how it happened.
"Mirror Dimension?"
"A sort of space where we can't affect the actual space. Say you can cast a spell that can level a town but the town remains intact and no life is lost." The Elf explained with pride in his words.
"Oh! The Doctor Strange thingy." Jon clapped his hands.
Jon raised pride and suddenly started to freely twist the space in many directions, completely disturbing the surrounding reality.
"How did you do that?" The Elf was amazed.
"I'm specialized in Mysticism." Jon replied.
This answer made the Elderly Elf smile.
"Mysticism, you say?" He asked, "Let's put that to the test, shall we?"
The Elf smiled after regaining control over the mirror reality he created while Jon released his full Aura causing a red and black image of a dragon to manifest around him.
And this was the day when the Psijic Order ran into the jealous husband known as Jon Dare.
