Chapter 6 Na'er
"Father, I also want to go to TianGong with you today." Long Yuan told his father while looking up to meet his eyes. He had an expectant look in his eyes
"Yuan'er that…" Lin Tian looked at his son with a complicated expression. He was not able to speak his mind.
"Why not take him with you." Mei gong replied with a calm expression on her face. She wanted Lin Tian to do whatever Long Yuan asked of him today and was unrelenting.
Long Yuan was confused by this atmosphere; he had never seen such a gloomy atmosphere in this house in all the years he had lived with his parents. His parents were the jolly type who always joked and laughed.
"What happened, father? Why are you and mother talking like this.." Long Yuan asked his parents while looking at both of them and he inspected their expressions.
"It's nothing to worry about Yuan'er" Mei gong told her son while trying to force a smile on her face.
Lin Tian also tried to force a smile on his face but soon failed in doing so.
"Let's have breakfast before we leave." Lin Tian told his son while sighing.
"Mm…" Long Yuan replied. He was also feeling tensed by what was happening in his house today.
Mei gong soon got into the kitchen. She made her son's favorite dish with great love and care and placed the sizzling dish on the table.
"Now shall we start eating!" Mei gong said while seating herself down near Long Yuan and serving him food. This was not uncommon and was what usually happened. Mei Gong had spoiled her son to no bounds.
"Yes" Long Yuan was feeling way better after seeing the food which was placed on the table and the loving look his mother was giving him. It calmed him down.
After finishing their meal, which took quite a lot of time because it was hard to fill the giant pit in Long Yuan's stomach. Mei gong was quite astonished but also felt fulfilled as she was able to cook her son a good meal to this extent. Lin Tian got up looking satisfied with what he ate and gave his wife a loving look.
He turned to Long Yuan and said. "Shall we leave now Yuan'er?"
"Yes!" Long Yuan met his dad's eyes which still had a complicated look to them but he ignored it because his parents refused to tell him what it was. He told himself it was nothing to worry about and moved on.
They soon made their way into the car which was parked in their garage and drove to TianGong.
"Good Morning" Zang Wei told Yuan Long while opening the door. He wore his usual businessman smile on his face and greeted Long yuan. Long Yuan liked this about Zang Wei the most; he was able to keep a calm face in most situations even when he had to deal with uncouth customers.
"What's on today's agenda?" Lin Tian asked Manager Zang while getting out of the car.
"There is nothing much scheduled for today as you told me yesterday that you would not be coming here. But something else has come up. People from the spirit pagoda have asked to meet with you. They did not tell me anything about what it was about, But they did tell me that they would be here by noon. It did seem they had something important to talk about." Manager Zang told Lin tian calmly while observing his expression. On seeing that Lin Tian was making a grave expression. Zang Wei did not talk about anything else.
Long Yuan was confused by what was happening. He heard Manager Zang talk about Spirit Pagoda and he recalled that it was a widely exalted organisation and one of the biggest powers throughout the three continents. It was established by Huo Yuhao, the spirit ice douluo about 10,000 years ago.
Long Yuan soon noticed that his father had already started to leave with Manager Zang to his office to prepare for the meeting. Long Yuan felt a bit left out. He started to walk towards the entrance of Tiangong where he could see a watchman standing guard.
Long Yuan crept past the guard without him noticing and soon made his way to a park that was nearby. He had done this multiple times and no one had caught him yet. Though what was special this time was that, He was feeling very upset about what happened today at his home. Long Yuan had never seen his parents worry. He believed that they never had a shortage of money and they were not going through any diseases.
He soon sat on a swing that was nearby and started riding it. Long Yuan had also felt that his strength had somewhat increased from the day he awakened. And the swing was going to and fro at a fast pace. This calmed his mind somehow. That is why he liked riding on swings even though he was all alone at this park because it was almost noon time and the sun was right above his head which made the climate very hot.
Long Yuan looked up to the skies and he saw that the sun which was shining brightly was covered up by clouds and it started raining. He jumped out of the swing and made his way to a shelter in the park. He sat down calmly and looked at the skies wondering what happened to change the climate.
Long Yuan soon saw a girl who got slightly wet from the rain and she made her way near him. The girl was slightly shorter than him and had short silver hair. She wore shabby clothes and had a dirt-stained face. She almost resembled a beggar if not for her Big eyes with crystal amethyst pupils. She also had long eyelashes. When Long Yuan saw her big eyes and long eyelashes he formed a favorable impression of her.
"What's your name?" Long Yuan asked the little girl who was standing a short distance away from him. He looked at her while showing her a small smile.
"My name is Na'er" She replied after staring at Long Yuan for a short while.
