"William Cole, I've brought your wife home."
From inside a black BMW, a young man stepped out.
William Cole's wife, Ruth Dawn, got out from the passenger's seat.
The man looked up and glanced at the second-floor window, catching sight of William, he smirked, "What's up? Do you want me to carry her up?"
William went straight down, opened the door of the villa, picked up a pair of slippers very familiarly, and handed them to Ruth as she entered.
Ruth came in, took off her high heels, not even glancing at William.
"By the way, Ruth, remember when I said I wanted to work at your family's company last time…"
Before William could finish his sentence, Ruth interrupted him impatiently, "Enough! Don't bring it up anymore, do you think your qualifications are good enough to get you into my family's company?"
"Even a minor employee in my company needs to be a postgraduate. Did you even finish junior high?"
"Oh, right, you're an orphan. You dropped out before even finishing junior high!"
"If it wasn't for that time you saved my grandfather, would I have married you?"
"William Cole, get real! When we got married, we agreed that I would live my life, you would live yours, there would be no interference!"
"The Dawn family feeds you, gives you five hundred dollars a month, isn't that enough?"
"You even want to work at our company, look at yourself! Are! You! Qualified! Enough!"
"Hmph!"
After she said these words,
Ruth didn't give William any chance to rebut, she turned around and went straight to the bathroom.
Dwright Brews entered the villa, casually lit a cigarette, and slowly began to smoke.
William frowned, "You can't smoke here."
Dwright Brews didn't even respond to William's statement.
"What's your problem?" William demanded, his face cold.
Dwright Brews smirked, "Oh? Why, do you have a temper now?"
"This is my house!" William retorted.
"Hahahaha."
Dwright Brews couldn't help but laugh out loud, "Your house? You're just a good-for-nothing son-in-law, what do you have?"
"Shut up, don't bother me while I'm smoking!"
Dwright Brews didn't even bother to look at William again as he continued to smoke.
"Put that cigarette out!" William demanded, lunging forward to try to snatch Brews' cigarette.
Dwright Brews' face darkened, "Dare to lay a hand on me? Get lost!"
Brews sent out a kick, hitting William squarely in the stomach. William took the opportunity to pounce, bringing Brews down and punching him hard in the face.
"What are you doing?" Just then, a cold voice rang out. Eloise Torres, William's mother-in-law, entered from the front door. Seeing William and Brews in a scuffle, her face turned a furious shade of pale.
"William Cole, you little rascal, stop it right now! Who told you to hit Dwright Brews?" Eloise picked up a broom and hit William on the head.
Upon hearing the commotion, Ruth came out of the bathroom. Seeing the scene in front of her, she fumed, "William Cole, have you lost your mind? Why are you attacking Dwright Brews for no reason?"
