Chapitre 48: Zac's Wounded Escape

Zac's eyes slid over to the moving figure in Holofeed. It appeared as though the demon's body was composed of tree bark, with a grayish-black shading. Its body was covered in vines that it could control at will. Zac was searching for a way out, his mind racing.

Glancing around the battlefield, he saw that it was dotted with craters left by the spaceships' cannon shots. The demon was moving in the same direction as Zac, but it hadn't noticed him because he was in a crater like this. Zac saw several demon and ally corpses strewn throughout the sizable crater.

He crept over to these bodies in silence, collected a few, and stacked them. Zac covered his body with the blood of the corpses and crouched down beneath them to remain fully hidden.

Bella was curious to know what Zac was doing and asked, "Are you trying to hide under the pile of bodies?"

"Yes, is there anything wrong with that?" he responded.
