Chapitre 93: It's Alive!!!

"So... You want me to to keep an eye on the Crystals in case the magic is insufficient?" She asked Starfall after another hour of waiting for The Stallion to finish the engravings. His original estimation of only few more minutes had to be increased after he, in a sudden stroke of inspiration, figured out how to turn this formation into an "universal product" and add a bunch of other safety precautions, which slowly started to linger on the level of unnecessary.
Seriously...Why does the Formation need to include a protection against Confetti projectiles?...Well...at least it doesn't strain the power output as it would only activate in case of the right emergency...
"That's right. Just pour a bit of magic if it seems to be unable to finish. I don't believe it would need so much power but we can never be too cautious and can't afford a failure as it's our only chance..." He said glancing with worry at the Pink Crystal Sphere atop the Vat.
"I see...And is there any reason why Twilight isn't here to help you?" "Luna" asked, and Starfall Laughed awkwardly.
"Well...She doesn't technically know what I'm trying to accomplish here, and..."
"And, You feel like it's better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission?" She finished, but Starfall shook his head.
"Nah. It's not like she would be against it in the first place... I guess I just felt like making it more or less a surprise..." He said sheepishly causing "Luna" to look at him in bemusement. She really couldn't understand those ponies...Maybe she should just go and finish the task of her Queen now?...But why is it that she is so curious to see the results?

"What are you doing?" Asked Luna watching as Nightmare Moon stopped in her tracks and closed her eyes as if thinking about something."...Umm...Moony-" She was stopped by a hoof placed on her lips.
They stayed in that position for a few seconds until the larger Alicorn opened her eyes.
"Sorry. I was trying to keep Her from Lashing out and Proceeding with Tia's orders because of Starfall's silliness..." She explained surprising Luna.
"Wait... You can do that?!" She asked, completely shocked with the new information.
"Of course. But it's only because so far she has no idea that I am also here... Influencing her decisions is surprisingly simple to be honest. That "Mare" has basically no Self-awareness. She doesn't even understand her own emotions and is a natural servant. For some reason a word "Robot" comes to my mind when describing her, but I honestly don't know what that is..." She muttered a bit confused at the last part of her train of thoughts...
"Wait...So that's why you would occasionally turn silent, and next second, She would delay her plans?" Luna asked Surprised at the revelation.
"Well...not all the time. She is extremely curious on her own accord, being technically a newly born consciousness, but it doesn't make her any less of a "mindless servant"" Nightmare Moon explained as they finally stopped in front of their destination.
"Oh. Looks like we're here. This Nexus should lead us to My and Her's mindscapes." We can finally get to the process of ridding ourselves of the impostor!" She said excitedly, and Luna nodded, still finding the happy and excited Nightmare Moon to be a weird sight to say the least...

"Alright. Flesh transformation vat activation... commencing!" Said Starfall with trepidation as "Luna" Watched everything unfold, once again experiencing the weird feeling of curiosity.
The runes started to lit up one after another as the liquid inside the crystal vat began to stir, hiding the form of Pinkie's Mirror Pond Clone behind a veil of bubbles.
"The Flesh Insertion Stage... Commencing..."
The containers filled to the brim with Hydra Flesh began to unload their contents into the vat that actually turned into a slightly gruesome image, which was actually one of the reasons Starfall didn't want Twilight to be present during the process.
The minced meat-like bloody filled vat started to glow as it's contents stirred in a vortex-like fashion.
A bright flash of Yellow light passed through the vat, outlining the form of the Clone, indicating that-
"The Template Was Recognised. Flesh forming Stage... Commencing..." Starfall said, constantly taking notes in a notebook using levitation.
The Flesh started to slowly but surely sink into the Yellow outline and the Fleshy liquid slowly started to clear up. Of course it didn't change the gruesomness of the situation as what was slowly revealed inside was the form of a pony made completely out of raw minced flesh and muscles, some parts revealing bones formed from the materials absorbed from another adjoined container.
The reddish bloody water could bee seen slowly sinking into the constantly morphing flesh, but something seemed to be missing.
Starfall quickly opened a crystal drawer and extracted a vial of blood which he then dumped straight into the vat through a small opening at the top.
"The Catalyst had been provided...All Readings... normal..." He muttered while taking a look at his data processors...
He discarded The vial labelled, [Pinkamena Diane Pie] and watched as another set of runes lit up, causing the blood that until now just floated in a circle around the fleshy body to suddenly glow with magic and rush into the body, causing the Flesh that was now almost settled in place to explode in movement as it began to visibly transform, forming a proper muscle tissue followed by skin a a pinkish coat, sparing them the sight of the creation of all the viscera...
An alert on one of the surrounding devices informed Starfall that it was time for the most delicate steps.
"Cleaning up the Mental-Physical Template..." A golden Flash passed through the body, pushing out a pale pinkish wisp of magic that dispersed into the atmosphere. There was no sense keeping The Mirror Pond magic inside of the Clone at this point. It already did it's purpose...
Starfall watched with bathed breath as the form of the pink mare slowly took its final shape.
Her body was identical to Pinkie's, that was for sure... but she lacked her Cutie Mark along with two other most important things...
A heartbeat to show her place among the living, as well as consciousness, or for the lack of a better term...A Soul...
But Let's not forget that It was not an experiment to give a soul to a body... It was an experiment of how to create a body for a Soul...
The Crystal Sphere filled with pink mist atop the vat, suddenly started to glow. The magic in the Generator pushed into the sphere which released the mist straight into the Vat, The mist not wasting time as it latched onto the head of the Clone and sipped inside in a hurry.
Then a sudden blast of electricity passed through the Vat as the body jolted.
Starfall watched with fascination as the magic inside the body responded to the magical electricity, stirring and slowly pushing the until now dead body to the acquirement of an actual life, a magical core slowly forming inside of the mare...
But as he watched it all happened, he noticed a slight problem. It seems like the magic needed another push from the Clone herself to actually work, but Starfall knew that she won't be waking up any time soon, her consciousness yet to properly merge with the body...
With no hesitation Starfall run into the Storage room, not noticing the lack of a certain Crystal Sphere with blue mist inside, and grabbed a case with a bunch of colorful crystals...
"Sigh...A spark of magic huh..." He muttered praying to all heavens that the Elements of Harmony would be willing to help him after the last time when he played with Chaos magic...
Surprisingly though...As he touched the Element of Magic, a spark of electricity jumped between all the Stones, turning into a rainbow coloured magic spark that then jumped and attached itself to his horn.
Starfall didn't waste time and run to the vat, the Spark already gone from his horn as he send it towards the chest of the PinkieClone, the spark easily passing through the crystal and mixing with the magic inside of her...
He would never forget the sight of the creation of a magical core inside of her...It was truly a beautiful and mesmerising sight for the Stallion who always considered magic to be beautiful even in the day to day situations.
The following heartbeat that accompanied the creation of the magical core, only added to his excitement as he watched the "birth" of a completely new, yet not exactly "new", pony...
"We...We did it...We Did it!" He finally exclaimed hugging Luna in excitement as he stood in front of the Vat with the now alive mare still submerged in the liquid.
"Yes we did..." She whispered, all three of her "personalities" equally astonished, adding to the equation...
It took them a moment to regain their senses and Starfall decided to start with the cleanup...
"Alright. I'll go and store the Elements I guess... Not much else we can do for now..." He said confusing "Luna".
"Huh?...What do you mean. Aren't you going to wake her up?" She asked and Starfall shook his head.
"No. She needs to properly connect her consciousness with her new body. I cannot interfere with that so the only thing we can do now is to wait. I'll relocate her to the Infirmary after I'm back from the Storage Room." He explained, leaving the flabbergasted Mare inside the Lab...

As she slipped into unconscious beside her target, "Luna" Tried to understand why she didn't yet accomplish her goal and returned to Celestia. Her Queen awaited her and She would surely not like the fact that she was taking so long with her mission...
At the same time, a pair of nearly identical (if not for the fangs, apparel and height) mares was just about to pass through a weirdly transparent mindscape at the edge of the two other mindscapes, that belonged to Nightmare Moon.
They were currently giggling, reminiscing their times of youth, a weirdly familial astmosphere surrounding them.
"*Giggle* I didn't realize we have so much in common Moony. Who would have thought, haha!" Said Luna amused, causing Nightmare Moon to burst into a similar hip of giggles.
"You do realise we are technically the same pony right Lulu?" Asked the larger Mare causing a wider smile to appear on Luna.
"Ha! if that was only true." She said amused causing Nightmare to roll her eyes.
"Oh Please. We have all the memories of eachother." She said.
"And yet look how different we are." Luna pointed out between themselves, only now causing Nightmare to really consider the implications as a mirror appeared in front of her with a thought.
"Huh...I guess...I don't really give off a friendly impression right?" Asked Nightmare Moon sheepishly and Luna laughed.
"Not really. No..." She said as the two of them continued to watch their reflections.
"...Say...What are we going to do when we kick that other one out of our body?" Asked Luna, causing Nightmare Moon to look at her with a somber smile and shrugging.
"I don't know...I-I guess I'll just fade away or something..."She said finally, averting Luna's gaze.
"...F-fade...No way! I don't agree to this!" Luna said shocked after hearing Nightmare Moon's words. Nightmare looked at her sadly.
"Look, Luna...That would be for the better... We can't stay together in the same body. You know as well as I do that it's going to just bring you more pain and exhaustion in the long term...And it's your body. I-"
"I said No! Moony!" Interrupted her Luna Indignantly.
"Luna...please listen...It's what I deserve anyway-"
"No! You listen to me Moony! There was a time that I hated Nightmare Moon! I hated myself! But then I met Starfall and the others. They helped me to forgive myself for what I did...And then I met you... Moony... You...You are not Nightmare Moon!"She said, causing the other mare to stumble in confusion.
"What? What do you mean I'm not Nightmare Moon?! How can I not be me?" She asked and Luna continued.
"You are not Nightmare Moon, because Nightmare Moon was my dark evil Alter Ego twisted through my emotions of selfishness and pride, and filled with malicious magic! She would have never considered others wellbeing, especially above her own! No Moony! You are your own Mare now, and if I have anything to say about this then I'd even go so far as call you my sister!" Luna exclaimed with her hooves on the other's shoulders.
Tears started to gather in the eyes of the larger mare upon hearing the words of Luna.
"Do...Do you really mean it..." She asked and Luna finally smiled.
"Yes. I mean it... Sister..." She said, and that was the last straw that pushed the two of them into an emotional rollercoaster which even caused their body in the real world to shed tears during her sleep...
