The devil's massive jaws unhinged, its mouth stretching impossibly wide, revealing row upon row of jagged teeth, each one glinting with malice. 

Athena could see the gleam of anticipation in its six inverted eyes, the dark reddish orbs staring down at her with a hunger that was almost palpable. She knew this bite was meant to end her, to devour her from the waist up in one swift, brutal motion. 

But despair wasn't in her nature.

As the devil lunged, its teeth mere inches from her flesh, Athena locked eyes with it, her gaze defiant. "Got you!" she spat, her voice filled with a cold, unwavering confidence.
