Chapitre 15: Encounter, a moment of fate
A few hours ago...
Akari suddenly gasps when she opens her bag. It's time for recess and all students are already out to the canteen to buy food for lunch. She stares at Akio next to her with a sad face.
"What's the matter?" He asks, taking his lunchbox out. She stares at it and pouts.
"I forgot mine. Why didn't you remind me?" Still sulking, she folds her arms looking away.
"How can I remind you if you left early? Where did you put it? I would have brought it with me if I saw it."
"On the refrigerator..." She slumps her back, dejected.
"Why did you put it there? No wonder I didn't notice it." Akio says.
His mother usually prepares them for him and puts them on the dinner table so he only needs to pick them up and go to school. On the other hand, Akari prepares her food herself.
"Because those kids are playing around early this morning. Out of any place they could play, they choose to play in the kitchen. They also tried to eat my food! That's why I put it there so they could not reach it but I guess it backfires me... Now, I've forgotten them." She sighs.
"Wow... What bad luck." Kenji has been listening to them all this time, he interferes with their conversation. Akari glares at him.
When Akio gives her his lunchbox, she hurries to the roof with Akio's lunchbox and eats alone there. Akio had no choice but to buy food in the canteen. He wants to go alone at first, but Kenji insists on coming with him. They meet with Takao on the way, and he also walks along.
"How come you didn't bring your lunch? You usually bring from home." Takao asks.
"He gave it to Akari because she forgot her own lunchbox." Kenji answers for Akio.
The canteen is full of students and noisy. A lot of them talking at the same time, voices overlap each other and finally become a loud chattering gibberish in their ears.
Girls notice them and start approaching. Soon it became a crowd of girls. Kenji shields Akio when the girls try to touch him. He was right to follow him along to the canteen. Or else, these girls would attack Akio. When they walk, the girls are all also following behind them. It became a lot noisier with their loud scream.
"Dog?"
The word is not too loud compared to the sound of the girls screaming, but Akio, Kenji, and Takao can still hear it. The word is coming from a male student with black hair and dark blue eyes. Their eyes meet for an instant before he turns away.
After they walk past him, Kenji steals a glance back at that student. He seems to be waiting for something with an angry face.
"Akio. It's him." Kenji whispers to Akio.
"Yeah, I figured it out when he called us 'dog'. He doesn't seem like any normal human either. His skin is pale too. Whiter than any girls. Ah! Wait here."
Akio runs ahead of Kenji and the girls. Kenji had to hold the girls back from chasing after Akio. The girls were confused at first then they saw Akio approaching a canteen lady to help her carry heavy groceries bags.
"Thank you, Akio. You saved me. You are very helpful. These bags almost fall out of my hands if you don't come to help sooner."
"No problem ma'am. Where should I put these bags?" Akio smiles at her. His smile caused those around them to scream.
"Can you put it at the back? I need to sort these frozen ingredients in the refrigerator."
"Yes, ma'am." Akio walks with the lady inside the door.
Meanwhile, the girls are so obedient waiting for Akio to come out of the room and standing outside behind Kenji and Takao. They no longer need to hold them off and rest as long as they can before the girls go crazy again.
"He is so kind!" A girl suddenly says. Other girls around her are all agreeing with her and nod at the same time. They synchronize with each other! Girls power.

After lunch break end, Akio tells Kenji and Takao to go to the class first. He said he has some business to do and won't be for too long. Kenji insists on coming along but Akio forbids him from following using his Alpha voice.
Akio walks to the first year's building looking for class A. He does not need Kenji's help to stop the girls from surrounding him because he knows there are only first-year students here and they mostly don't know him yet compared to second-year and third-year female students who have known him for a year or two years. Even so, he still cannot let his guard down because the girls are attracted to him and staring for too long while he walked past their classroom.
Akio's in deep thought. He wonders who is the boy using Sora's name and lives his life as Sora. The Sasaki family never announce they are taking a boy in to raise him like their son. It has been a few years. He needs to ask him and get full details on him in person. That's why he is going to his class.
He is finally in front of class A. The girls go hysterical once they saw him standing outside of their class and jump excitedly from their seats. He can also hear the boys whimpering as they rest their heads on their table. The boys were trying to stay out of business from the girls who act crazy and loud in their class. Their voice even reaches the outside.
Other students from other classes even walk out of their class to see what is currently happening to class A. They keep looking at them with a questioning look. If the teachers heard them, they would surely come over and scold them to be quiet. It feels like a battlefield in here.
"I'm looking for Sora. Is he here?" Akio smiles at them.
