Chapitre 281: Chapter 281: The End of the Jewel Demon

Aella could feel herself nearing the end of this fall, and she knew it was just a matter of time before she would succumb to the cold embrace of death. 

"Aella!" her eyes jolted open as she saw a spread of white wings heading towards her. Bane caught her in his arms before she could reach the ground and she held him like he was her lifeline.

"Banelion." Aella cried as she buried her face in his chest. "I-I am so sorry." 

"It is okay. You are fine now, I promise. It will all be fine." He rested his head on hers as he breathed heavily, his wings keeping them in the air. "Can you wait for me? I have to take care of that bastard for making you cry." 

Aella nodded slowly, and Bane flew towards the cliff, placing her on the ground as he stood in front of her, facing the Jewel Demon. 

"Oh, she managed to survive? Looks like God is really on your side." the demon cackled. "Now, your wings, angel." he demanded.
