Chapitre 92: Banned Magic

On a somber evening, Kaden sat next to the window with a small parchment in his hands. With shaking hands, he poured a goblet of wine and held it to his lips. Thoughts and feelings invaded him as he glanced out the window at the small patched fire burning in the distance.

It has been eight days now since his best friend Deric had usurped the throne. But nothing has changed for the better. The kingdom still has yet to accept the young ruler, so his coronation ceremony was postponed. After three days of cleaning, the throne room was finally cleaned of blood stains.

Most of the court officials were killed that day, leaving the entire court barren. All the official work fell on him and the two Aaorlins. But three people were not enough to govern the nation effectively. There is only so much they can do and because of this we ignored the fact that those ministered had a bunch of loyal family members too.
