The clan of Bloodmaw was left with a serious decision to make, and as they look at Bloodmaw did some of them speak.
"We need to find a place that has water, since it is so hot we will need it.", spoke Gambit with his arms crossed. "We also need to keep in mind that some water may not be safe to drink."
Nina looked to the side, "With what happened we need to also be careful. The blind beasts maybe more aggressive than they usually are."
Devastate looked at Bloodmaw, he soon looked to Belle who stood closer to him. "If we went to Dreadtooth what would we expect?"
Bloodmaw looked at him silently, he honestly didn't know what to expect. Dreadtooth would gladly accept him and his clan, but there was something off about him. In all honesty, Dreadtooth rubbed him off in the wrong way.
No sane parent would marry their child off so easily. Sure, different parents did things differently from others, but Dreadtooth saw his daughter as some kind of bargaining chip. He didn't see her as a being, but as a item.
Scarface frowned, "I think it would be best if we find a temporary place, but not be so far away from Dreadtooth. In case things get difficult?"
Dingo and Helm looked at each other before the both of them began walking off. Helm spoke up, "We will look around and see if we can find something."
Bloodmaw nodded as he watched the two of them walk away, "Be careful."
Swiftscale looked at Ebony, he then looked at Bloodmaw. "I guess we start packing?"
Bloodmaw nodded, the decision was made for them to find a place close to Dreadtooth's clan. If they couldn't find any other place then they would have to ask Dreadtooth if they could stay with them.
The more he thought about it, the more Bloodmaw was against it.
Ruby hugged Scarface as everyone began walking back to camp to pack up. "You did that just for me didn't you! To stay near my home for a little while longer!"
Scarface looked at her with a embarrassed expression. "I-I did no such thing..!"
Adder walked ahead and as he glanced back did he narrow his eyes.
Gambit was talking to Nina with a big confident smile, Nina on the other hand was politely smiling though she looked to be a little uncomfortable.
When Nina and Gambit came closer to Adder, did Nina blink as she saw Gambit getting squished by Adder. Nina laughed as she walked beside Adder who nonchalantly replied with a "Oops."
Even though things were bad, it was obvious that everyone was trying to be optimistic about the dire situation that they were in.
Devastate looked at Bloodmaw as he said, "You don't want the clan to be with Dreadtooth do you?"
Bloodmaw looked at him silently, his face shifted to look at Jr who was walking ahead of him with Fiala. "I don't. I don't think I could live with myself if we were to stay with him. It will just cause further problems between me and my children."
Devastate looked to where he was looking, "I can imagine. I use to have a family a while back, family is everything especially in this harsh world."
Belle looked at Devastate silently in surprise, he had never mentioned that he had a family. Her eyes saddened a great deal as she heard this. Even so she felt empowered, she honestly believed that she could make him happy.
Bloodmaw looked at Devastate in light surprise, but he smirked. "Blood is thicker than water."
As everyone begun packing up the valley, the clan of Bloodmaw was making its first steps into the move process.
Meanwhile, Baldur and his clan were forced to move out of the camp that they had claimed. The natural event had placed a big dent in their celebration. Not only that but the herbivores that they had caught had escaped during the confusion.
"I can't believe this!?!", snarled Baldur.
Sawtooth looked to where the burning peak was located, the peak was rather large and could be seen from where he stood. The burning of fire could be seen along with thick awful smelling clouds of black ash. "Diablo's Maw is really doing a number over there."
Wraith smirked standing beside him, "It is, you know why they call it that?"
Sawtooth smirked as he looked at her, "I think I know? Wasn't it called that because it looks exactly as its name says? Like a demon opening its mouth to consume its very victim."
Wraith giggled as she elbowed his large foot, "You are smart, for a long nose!"
Sawtooth chuckled as he looked at her.
Baldur smirked, his snarling ceased. "I think I know what we should do next."
Sawtooth looked at him curiously, "What?"
Baldur smirked as he begun walking off, Sawtooth followed after him purely confused.
Wraith followed after Sawtooth and Baldur with her brow raised.
Baldur looked at Sawtooth with a nasty smile coming over his lips. "We should go to that valley and claim their land."
Sawtooth sort of smiled, "With what is going on they would not expect it."
Wraith getting the idea turned around and begun walking to retrieve the others, "I'll let the others know."
Baldur looked into the distance as he chuckled, "Time to pay Devastate a good old visit."
Sawtooth grinned in a twisted way, he nodded. "I will make a good plan in order for us to succeed."
Baldur smirked as he said, "The white raptor is the prime target. You get her, Devastate will surely follow."
Sawtooth smirked, "I have just the plan."
Baldur smirked, "Good."
Baldur's clan was on the move, but they were not moving to the valley but toward Diablo's Maw. Sawtooth had this idea, to use the very peak for Devastate's so called demise.
Since he had escaped from Baldur before, he was going to make sure he was not going to escape again. The only one that was going to the valley was Wraith, her speed along with camouflage would help her capture the white raptor known as Belle.
She should make it there before nightfall.
Baldur's prime idea was not claiming land, but to kill Devastate for his treachery. The behemoth was the only one who he thought about killing the most. Revenge was a common thing that many have felt, but sometimes if not always would the individual be blinded by it.
So blinded in fact that they only cared about getting their revenge.
Noon quickly became the evening, Bloodmaw and his clan were focused on packing things up. With their teamwork, they managed to get everything packed. All that they needed to do was wait for Dingo and Helm to return.
Bloodmaw had made a plan to celebrate with the clan to welcome Lockjaw officially into the clan. It would seem that they would have to wait before they could celebrate now.
So much was happening now, and everything was packed up. Not only that but there was no water as well to toast with.
Gambit was looking through the herbs, he would also give Adder death glares from time to time. He blinked as he looked at Belle who was happily humming while she sorted herbs.
"You happy?", asked Gambit curiously.
"Yep!", smiled Belle.
Gambit smiled a bit, though he gave her a teasing look. "Oh did your man confess to you finally?"
Belle blushed softly at his words, "Y-yeah, and I guess I have you to thank for it?"
Gambit smiled at her, he genuinely looked happy for her. "Oh don't mention it. Though, you owe me one."
Belle smiled at him, "Be careful what you ask of me! I may get him to kick your ass!"
Gambit gave her a dumbfounded look, all because he confessed she was already feeling cocky. He smirked lightly as he waved his hand. "Go get more herbs!"
Belle smiled as she did a cute little salute, "Yes sir!"
As she skipped off, Gambit shook his head. "What the hell was that?"
Belle smiled as she looked through the bushes a little ways from everyone else, her body was not bruised or looked bad. She felt good and it was all cause of Devastate. The behemoth was always there for her, they would even talk through out the night.
He took care of her as well. He even would feed her first before him, which was something she was trying to fix. Belle saw him as her equal, though he argued with her that she was more important.
Her petite hands touched a herb that she had seen, as she softly picked it up did she look to her clan. She could hear laughter from them.
Everyone got along, sort of.
Devastate was definitely working hard, he was providing for not only her but the clan as well. Belle caught sight of Devastate from where she stood, and she couldn't help but smile.
Though they came from two different worlds, the both of them complimented each other. He had her back while she tried to have his.
Belle looked down at the herb she had, unaware of movement in the shadows. As she turned around did her eyes go wide as a clawed hand reached out from the shadows and grab her mouth.
"...!?!", she was pulled strongly to a unknown person and before she could react she felt a hard impact to the side of her neck.
Belle's eyes slowly began to close, the last thing she saw was Devastate before darkness consumed her.
Wraith smirked as she carried Belle away, under the evening sky and the shade from the trees.
Sometime passed by, Gambit was walking out looking for Belle. He looked around having saw her head in this direction earlier. "Where did you go?", grumbled Gambit.
Gambit didn't dare yell for her, but from the looks of it he was going to have too. He unknowingly stood in the same place where Belle was before she was taken. "Belle!?!"
He looked around before picking up a scent, he looked down at a herb that was pulled fresh from the ground. Her scent was heavy upon the plant as he picked it up. "You were here so where...?"
Gambit jumped up hearing heavy footsteps headed in his direction, it was Devastate. He didn't doubt that he heard him, which was why he didn't want to yell. The raptor knew how protective Devastate was with Belle.
"What happened! Where is Belle!?!", exclaimed Devastate loudly in concern.
"I told her to get me some herbs, she didn't return so I came out looking for her." replied Gambit honestly. He blinked as Devastate moved fast into the trees, his eyes were urgently looking for Belle.
Bloodmaw soon walked over, "What's going on?"
Gambit looked at him as he replied, "Belle is gone, I don't know where she went. Told her to get herbs a while ago and she didn't come back."
Devastate came back and he glared at Gambit, which made the raptor flinch. "You didn't go with her!"
Bloodmaw looked at Devastate as he said, "Calm down, she must not be far."
Gambit looked at the herb as he said, "Her scent is on this herb so she was here."
Devastate looked at the herb before glaring sharply, "There is another scent that I am picking up. One I don't recognize, I'm going."
Bloodmaw blinked as Devastate began walking away, "Hold on you can't go alone!"
Devastate kept walking not at all waiting for anyone or anything, seeing this Bloodmaw looked at Gambit as he followed after Devastate. "Go get the others."
Gambit nodded as he quickly ran back to camp.
"Don't worry, Belle. I'm coming.", spoke Devastate as he looked forward following this unknown scent.
The behemoth was focused on getting Belle back, whoever has taken her will regret the day of taking her. She was a pure person, one who was rare in this harsh world. To him she was special.
Devastate never thought that he would feel anything again after losing his family. He didn't like raptors either, to him the world looked dull and lifeless. Then he decided to take care of a raptor, but not any raptor.
Belle reached out for him, and he responded. She was not like other raptors, that and she made him see the world some what differently. The world didn't seem so cold with Belle in it.
He was committed to taking care of her, and that was what he was going to do.
