Bloodmaw closed his eyes as he calmly thought out his answer. The leader would always have to make the hardest of decisions. These choices may appear easy to make but with each choice there was a consequence.
As a leader you would have to make a choice that would benefit the clan, but sometimes it was not always easy. It was hard to decide what to do, and sometimes these choices would make many fear or hate you.
The leader could care less about others or care a whole lot over others.
All leaders were not the same. That was what made things so scary at times, these choices would make you appear as a tyrant to some or a honorable leader to others.
"I hold sympathy for you but to kill someone over this.", finally spoke Bloodmaw.
The female rex blinked the tears in her eyes grew more furious as she glared at him, "You don't know what loss is!"
Bloodmaw frowned at her words, "I lost my wife in a raid. I promised her on her dying breath to raise our sons to the fullest potential."
Grim frowned at Bloodmaw's words only cause he had witnessed it.
The female rex looked surprised at his words, she frowned looking down as the tears continued to fall from her eyes.
Grim flinched to the movement from the blind rex, but blinked in silent surprise as he watched him.
The blind rex looked at her, his gaze was focused on her as he touched her softly with his nose. This blind beast showed so much gentleness toward her.
Grim looked at Bloodmaw before looking at the two in front of him.
"You can start again, don't let yourself be blinded by your rage. I for one don't support what the brute did to your offspring but you must push on.", spoke Bloodmaw looking at her. "I can tell though that you would make a good parent, I believe that."
The female rex slowly looked at him, her gaze turned to look at her mate who was at her side. "..."
Grim was bewildered by the blind beast, his aggressive tone was completely stopped at the moment that her tears grew.
"If he does it again I will not stop until he is dead.", spoke the female looking at Bloodmaw.
Bloodmaw looked over at Grim before saying, "He won't do it again, I will make sure of that."
The female rex looked at her mate, she made some sort of sound that they could not determine. The blind rex clearly understood as he shook his massive head as he turned around and stalked off.
"Where are you two going?", asked Bloodmaw.
"We are going back.", she spoke watching her mate walk off.
"You two are more than welcome to join us, if you would like?", asked Bloodmaw.
The female rex looked at him before replying, "Thank you for the offer but if you are going to keep that brute..."
Bloodmaw understood, "We will, but with the damage he will be out for a while."
The female rex smirked a bit, "..."
Grim feeling no danger turned as he walked back to the camp, he however kept glancing at the blind rex.
The blind rex didn't have a clumsy walk like others, but he clearly did have the aggression. This was something they have never seen before, it also opened their eyes. Some blind beast could actually show feelings and remorse to another.
Bloodmaw looked at her as he asked, "What is your name if you don't mind me asking?"
The female rex looked at him, her expression seemed distant before she replied. "I don't have a name."
Bloodmaw tilted his head before saying, "Is that so?"
The female rex looked at him before slowly looking away, "Yes."
Names were usually given to those that wanted to separate themselves from the blind. Most named themselves after a skill they have, or a common trait. This rex to him seemed like a peacekeeper only due to the fact that she wanted to talk when clearly she could of let her mate charge at them.
He wouldn't of course give her name for that was for her to decide.
Bloodmaw nodded as he looked at her, "That is fine, I just wanted something to call you by. After all I hold no grudge on you or your mate."
The female rex looked a little surprised by this, she gave a small smile. "I see."
Bloodmaw gave a light smile back in return, "You are free to ask us for help."
The look he had gotten was one of pure gratitude, she was obviously happy to have help. Despite what had happened he didn't show her any anger or disrespect. She clearly wasn't expecting that from him, since her mate did charge at them.
"Thank you.", was her response as she walked away.
Bloodmaw watched her go, he was surprised that her blind mate was waiting for her. Clearly she left a strong impression on him that he listened to her and protected her.
Bloodmaw turned away as well, he of course looked back at the two. The genuine smile she gave her mate was one of pure affection. This was a rare experience for him, but he hoped that the two of them would join his clan one day.
He knew full well that the both of them didn't like the brute he had saved. The metriacanthosaurus was saved by him, though he didn't support his actions. It would take a while for the brute to get back on his feet.
Gambit sighed having placed a good amount of herbs on his wounds, he looked exhausted.
Ebony watched the two fully leave, her heart hurt by watching them.
Swiftscale looked at Ebony and he looked down, she seemed so badly hurt. She clearly was missing her mate, he hated that for her.
Scarface had woken up, he blinked at Gambit. "What the hell? Who is that?"
Gambit sighed, "A guy who learned a harsh lesson to not mess with a young couple."
Scarface looked confused, "Young couple? Was it a honeymoon gone wrong?"
Gambit blinked and laughed, "The best man was getting to close to the wife!"
Scarface looked surprised, "Is that what happened!?!"
Gambit stopped laughing and blankly said, "No."
Scarface snorted loudly glaring at Gambit who snickered.
Grim laid down and scoffed, "Brute destroyed a nest with eggs in it."
Scarface looked at Grim and he looked at the wounds, "Oh okay."
Gambit looked at Scarface, "Duh."
Scarface glared at Gambit again clearly not amused.
Bloodmaw smirked walking into camp, he laid down as well. The bone walls providing a good defense for the time being. "It is getting late, tomorrow is going to be a busy day."
Swiftscale looked at Ebony who was still staring out, he looked down before glancing at the youngsters who were still sleeping.
Dusk was slowly encasing the day, it was giving a hand to the darkness that was not to far behind. With the camp up and avoiding a conflict between two individuals, they can take it easy. Although, tomorrow was not going to let them rest. They would still need food along with herbs due to a wounded metriacanthosaurus.
Swiftscale looked at everyone who was getting settled in for the night, he of course walked out. "I'll be back!", he spoke letting the others know he was going out.
Gambit watched the baryonyx walk out somewhere, he smiled though when Ebony walked out as well.
Swiftscale walked a good ways from camp, when he was following the youngsters around he remembered seeing a patch of flowers. Perhaps, a few flowers would make the ceratosaurus happy?
Blind beast would never do this, why would they care about flowers. He figured Ebony would like them.
Different views was a strange thing, but it was nice to see the world in a different light. The baryonyx having found the flowers got ready to pick some but was blind to someone approaching him.
"What are you doing?", asked Ebony.
The shock from this was enough to make the baryonyx fall over and into the flowers. The many petals went up in the air from the massive impact.
Swiftscale looked at Ebony shocked but looked down to see the many flowers crushed under him. "Oh no!?!"
Ebony looked confused, Swiftscale quickly got up and began panicking over the flowers he had surely destroyed. "Hey calm down they are just flowers?"
Swiftscale stopped and he looked at her before looking down, his eyes became a little moist. "R-right..."
Ebony looked at him concerned, "Are you okay..?"
Swiftscale hated feeling like this, why did he care so much. These feelings were new to him but now they were all over the place cause of seeing Ebony sad.
"I...", he looked at the crushed flowers as he continued. "I wanted to give you some flowers..."
Ebony looked at him stunned, "Wait what..?"
Swiftscale looked at her fast, "I just wanted to give something to make you happy! Don't go thinking that I'm desperate...! I mean...!"
Ebony was silent as the baryoynx covered his face, he looked like he was out in the sun to long since he was practically glowing red. "..."
Swiftscale slowly looked at her before looking away, still flushed and flustered.
Ebony closed her eyes as she laughed in delight, "You wanted to give me flowers but you smashed them!?!"
Swiftscale looked beyond embarrassed, "You startled me!?!"
Ebony calmed her laughter as she nodded, "Right!"
Swiftscale looked at all the crushed flowers before looking at her. "I uh will find some other ones that I can give you..."
Ebony shook her head, "Don't."
There was a moment of silence between the two, both of them could tell how awkward this was. After what seemed like none of them were going to say anything did Ebony finally speak.
"But really, Thank you for trying to cheer me up!", she smiled softly at him.
Swiftscale looked at her with wide eyes, "Of course!"
Ebony smiled at him before looking back toward the camp, "I guess we should walk back..?"
Swiftscale looked at her surprised, "Wait! We..?"
Ebony gave a tough smile, "Of course! I got to walk you back! You fall like that again you will be a goner!"
Swiftscale's was blushing uncontrollably at her words, but he didn't refuse her as he nodded.
Ebony laughed at his reaction as she began to walk, Swiftscale scrambled to catch up with her as they both return to camp.
Emotions were powerful, with such feelings they could give someone strength while others it hinders them. Burdens them in such a way that it can cost their life.
The calls of the blind roared out the moment the dark arrived. It was like the blind knew when darkness was coming, because each night they start their haunting song.
Devastate looked at the body before him, a carnotaurus had been given to him to beaten thanks to Baldur. To beat up someone was a horrible thing, but if you put something as important it made it easy to do anything.
Baldur laughed as he watched Devastate, "I bet that made you feel good!"
The carnotaurus was under Devastate's foot, she didn't move due to being unconscious. The behemoth had gripped her neck when she spoke against him.
The wound around her neck was deep into her throat as blood stained the earth below. "She should of kept her mouth shut.", replied Devastate.
He had watched how the others treated those who speak against them, he took in everything and learned. For everything that he sees he was going to use against Baldur, all the cruelty and brutality he was going to give it back at him tenfold.
In time Baldur was going to suffer so much worse than the ones he has hurt now. That was a promise.
Baldur smirked as he looked at Sawtooth, "When do you want to raid that clan?"
Sawtooth snickered, "You decide you're the leader!"
Baldur grinned showing all of his teeth, "I say we do it now then!"
Devastate looked at Baldur with hardened eyes, they would raid another clan and they would keep going like a fire spreads.
Sawtooth laughed, "I think that is a wonderful idea!"
Tonight they were going to raid a clan, the pain would never cease. Belle would hate this if she knew, he was going to wait till it was dark and now it was.
Sawtooth looked away getting ready to get everyone's attention. Devastate locked his eyes on Baldur who looked away with that heartless smile upon his face.
He could stay and buy his time, but to hear Baldur decide to attack that other clan tonight pushed the behemoth to his breaking point. Baldur smirked until his eyes went wide, the vision of red filled his view.
A sharp shrill cry erupted, it filled the air with the aroma of blood.
