Chapitre 58: At His Limits

"Ah, fuck," he muttered, scratching his temple in frustration. "Hang on. The house is a bit of a mess, so be careful with your steps."

If he could, he would have swept Rui Ye into his arms to spare time, but he wasn't confident he could manage that in his current situation. Hence, he could only settle for wrapping an arm around Rui Ye's waist, keeping the blind man close to him as they navigated across the living room toward the bedroom. 

All the while, Rui Ye clung to him tightly, taking a few sniffs of the increasingly heavier scent of blood around him, but Song Zhuyu took no notice of his subtle gesture.

"There you go," Song Zhuyu announced hoarsely, pushing Rui Ye toward the closed door. "Right in front of you is your room. Go in. I will leave first."

Without waiting for a response, he turned around, but he didn't expect Rui Ye to catch his arm, calling out anxiously, "W–Wait!"
