Chapitre 5: middle floors!
"goddess are you finished?" i asked Hestia as i ate the last piece of food on my plate, with a nod from her i put my hand up to call for the waiter.
"thank you for the book Syr" i said with a wave as i walked out of the entrance of the tavern, as i walked home i couldn't help but think if i should go to the middle floors from tomorrow.
' well it's not like staying on the easier floors are gonna help me, from tomorrow i will go to the middle floors!" i thought as i walked home.
[ tomorrow, in the morning ]
i woke up by feeling something very soft on my chest, i opened my eyes and looked down, there she was Hestia under my blanket, her chest squashed against me and her lower body on my legs, in a few seconds i felt my lower limb come to life.
"no!" i said under my breath with a smooth slide i moved from under Hestia and in seconds i equipped my armor, and walked towards the exit.
[ with Hestia ]
as i woke up i could feel the heat of bells body against my own, i squashed my chest against his strong chest and moved up more, suddenly i felt him move and i quickly pretended to sleep.
a few seconds later i felt something hard poke my thigh, and i instantly felt embarrassed.
'is he gonna do it?' i thought imagining him putting his hands on my body, but before that i felt him slip out from under me and i was left feeling a little disappointed, but also happy that he didn't do it while i was sleeping.
[ floor 13 ]

a rabbit was split in half, but it didn't matter as whenever one died, 3 retook his place.
"this is not good, it looks like this place is never ending spawn location for rabbits" i said with a little bit of tiredness, i was walking for an 30 minutes to get here while killing monster occasionally, but now i am here fighting rabbits that are much faster then any monster i fought before.
i looked at the monsters in front of me, and i gathered half of my magic, i condensed it into the tip of my dagger, and i slashed towards the rabbits in a circular motion.
boom!
the ground trembled as my slash impacted the floor, i a sweeping motion, the ground was dug up and any rabbit touched was split in half, a second later i swung my hand to disperse the smoke and a circular pit surrounding me for 10 meters was created.
"this type of monster only gives me higher leg strength, speed and jumping power, but this caused me to be much faster" i said as i felt my legs and calf get stronger, i instantly knew that i could jump at least a 400 meters into the air now.
"not bad, let's look for more monsters" i said as i went even deeper, while walking random monsters continued attacking me or ambushing me in groups, especially the rabbits.
But i always got rid of them with my enhanced senses i could notice even a fly flying towards me from behind.
[ floor 14 ]
boom!
the ground was scorched as a blast of fire from 5 hounds blasted towards bell, with a jump bell dodged the blast, and with him being next to a wall, he put his legs on the wall and pushed himself towards the hounds.
a sound began to emanate from the dagger in Bells hand as it suddenly began changing colours, it became a dark blood red dagger, and bell noticed it became more comfortable in his hand.
bell charged magic through the dagger and he noticed it was more easier, with a swipe, a slash was sent towards the hounds, it cut 3 in half while the 2 in the back tried to jump away, but it was useless as the shockwave blasted rocks like bullets through their bodies.
"what the hell?" i said as i looked at my dagger, it looked almost like the dagger that Hestia requested to be made for bell, but it was now a dark blood red colour.
"did it evolve with me?" i asked myself as i felt the weapon vibrate suddenly, like it was alive and responding to me.
"so you now have a soul?" i asked the dagger with confusion in my voice, and slowly i understood the dagger even though it did not say anything but just vibrated.
"so since you are connected to my soul, you gained conscience, and can now think" i said in amazement as i looked at my dagger, i tested it by pulling the sharp edge on a stone and the stone split in half without any effort.
"you really are stronger now huh?" i said with a smile as i looked at my new dagger, it vibrated in happiness.
"well i guess let's continue hunting" i said with a grin as i looked at the hounds and rabbits gathering to attack me, for some reason i feel my blood boiling as i looked at the tens of monsters surrounding me.
maybe i am addicted to becoming stronger through fighting, defeating my opponents and getting stronger, looks like this is the excitement i was longing for.
"hehe!" i ran at the closest hound and slashed it in half, when suddenly a rabbit jumped towards me, it split it down in the middle, but i felt a heat from behind me, i jumped up and split 2 rabbits that tried to attack me in the air.
as i attacked i suddenly saw the hounds all look at me in the air and they sent a fire blast, it fused into each other causing a large fire blast to travel at me with a much faster speeds, i put my dagger in front of me, and it split in two.
i hissed in pain as i felt my arm get burned as the flames flew past me into the dungeon wall causing a large crater with scorch marks to be made, i used the force of the push from the fire to fly into a wall, once i did i put my legs against the wall, and pushed myself with all my power towards the hounds.
Boom!
a small crater was made in the wall as i flew at the hounds with such speed that my face started stretching from the air pressure.
my blood red dagger lit up with a blue light as i slashed towards the hounds, i flew past them, and i looked back.
i saw the hounds stand their before their bodies slid down in half, and then burst into smoke, i looked at the rabbits and dashed at them.
with every single strike i would take the life of a rabbit, until there was no monster except me standing there while grinning as i looked at my dagger.
"this is fun" i said with a calm tone, for some reason i felt alive at this moment, i turned and started walking down to the lower floors.
[ floor 16th ]
i walked through floor 15 reaching the area where the minotaur's spawned, and the moment i got there i saw 3 minotaur's crawl through the walls.
"is the dungeon targeting me?" i said in surprise, ever since i was in the dungeon monsters would always spawn a few minutes after i killed them, but from the information i gathered, normal groups kill monsters and then they have to search for new monsters before it spawns again.
"well it's not like i am against it, well come at me then!" i said with excitement as i ran towards the minotaur's i attacked one of them, the monster put his axe in the front, but my power was too great making him fly into a wall, i sent a slash towards him splitting him in half.
i felt my upper body and arms getting stronger then any other body part, looks like this type of monsters is all about strength and durability.
i dashed towards the monsters and engaged in a fight, i dodged their attacks while giving them small slashes on their bodies, i tried to do what Ottar did to that one minotaur, and it worked slowly they started getting angrier and angrier, their body took on a reddish colour as their strength and fighting styles became better and better.
"they are at least half stronger then before" i said in surprise as i blocked an axe attack from one of the monster, i pushed his axe to the side and i closed the distance stabbing into his heart with my dagger.
i jumped into the air and sent a full power magic slash to the only minotaur left, it split him in hald but the slash continued, flying forward cutting into the wall, making a deep gash at least 4 meters deep.
after this i continued fighting to better my fighting ability, i didn't kill them instantly, but i trained with them by closing my eyes and using my senses like hearing and smelling to know where they were, this continued for 3 hours and i slowly became better and better.
on the 4 hour marks, a picture suddenly appeared in my head, it was a picture of a minotaur about to swing his axe at me, i rolled to the left and i felt the wind go passed me, i slashed towards my right splitting the monster in half.
i opened my eyes in surprise, as i felt like i could see everything in a 100 meter radius.
"it's kind of like observation haki, but way weaker!" i said in surprise, looks like my infinite potential is coming in clutch.
"well it's time to go home, it must be in the after noon now" i said as i collected the magic stones, with that i walked to the surface and exchanged my magic stones, earning me 1 million valis from the hundreds of monsters i killed today.
i walked towards the church and, suddenly a little figure came out of an alley, she bumped into me making me pause, i looked at the figure and i saw a girl, she had brown hair and brown eyes along with cat like ears on her head, and a small thick tail on her butt.
"come here you little bitch!" i heard a shout, i looked and i saw a guy with a sword about to slash at the girl, i kicked the man in the stomach sending him flying into the wall, dead.
"hey you okay?" i asked the girl while bending down, i felt like i know this girl from somewhere. maybe she was a character in the anime?.
"yes mister, by the way are you an adventurer mister?:" she asked in a soft and fearful voice, i nodded at her.
"do you have someone that picks up the magic stones from the floor?" she asked me, i was surprised, when suddenly i remembered the helper of bell who tried to steal his dagger, but later became his supporter.
"no why?"
"well, i was wondering if you would need a supporter, i am one" she said hopefully, i nodded at her causing her to smile, but i know it's fake.
"how about meeting tomorrow in front of the fountain close to the guild, you will help me collect magic stones and in return i will pay you 10% of the money i get" i said as i helped her up from the floor.
"thank you mister!, you won't regret it!" she said with a happy smile as she looked at me with bright eyes.
"well see you tomorrow" i said as i walked towards the exit of the entrance, and where a certain elf was peeking on me.
"hello miss Ryu, can i help you?" i said with a curious look as i saw Ryu standing there with groceries in her arms.
"you killed that man" she said as she looked at me with surprise.
"well yeah, he was trying to kill a little defenceless supporter" i said with a smile as i walked past her, i am not a pussy, why would i care about somebody that tried to steal from me in the future.
' this guy, his strong i can feel it, maybe even as strong or stronger then me' Ryu thought as she looked at the departing bell back, she didn't thin somebody as innocent looking would do something like this.
[ in the church ]
"I am home!" i said as i entered the church.
"i looked around and i noticed that Hestia was sitting there looking down at the floor.
"bell am i a useless god?" she said as her mouth trembled, i looked at her in surprise, why would she ask that all of a sudden.
"why would you ask that?" i asked in a calm tone while looking to see anything i can know from her facial expression.
"today i saw how every adventurer has a god that gives them something, like a weapon or expensive clothes to protect them, but i didn't give you anything" she said while looking at me almost on the verge of crying.
i just sighed and walked towards her, i sat next to her and hugged her, while patting her head.
"you don't need to give me anything, without you i would be just another adventurer going into the dungeon without any goal, but with you i got a home, and a goal i could strive for" i said with a smile as i looked into her eyes.
it is true that my goal at first was just to become stronger, but now i have another goal, to make Hestia happy, i will buy everything she likes in the future.
"you aren't just a god or goddess that puts a falna on my back, and then lets me do whatever i want, you give me a home every time i return home" i said as i wiped her tears away with my thumb.
"bell!, you are so cute!" she shouted as she suddenly hugged me, i just lay there as she hugs me.
sigh it's gonna be a long night.
