They came out of nowhere, but I was ready for them, knowing trouble when I saw it. No matter where I went or what I did it seemed to find me in one way or another. Like every aspect of my life was required to carry on some form of drama.

I was just about to say something devastatingly witty, my mouth was open and everything, when Livy beat me to it.

“No, I said I was a Richardson, as far as I know, we were all born within wedlock. Then again, I’m a MacLeod too.”

“Bullshit,” the leader of the gang spat.

“Yer a bastard like the rest of them. Up here to gloat over the land you stole.”
