Chapitre 43: Chapter III: Honeymoon Pt. I

My wedding banquet was the stuff of legend. With the rationing order lifted, we ate and drank the best quality until we were drunk and full. The night was filled with dance, games, and sparring. It was a merry day without a shadow of a doubt. 

I could see that my people enjoyed the reprieve from their usual strenuous day of training, hunting for resources, battling daemon beast, and rebels in the badlands.

When the night finally grew old, I heard a strong voice with a heavy slur. Then a raspy voice followed. These Chaos Serpent Planet children were made of different stuff, and they loved demented fairytales of earth. So, I acted as if I couldn't hear the drunken callings and continued with my twisted version of The Beauty and the Beast.

Suddenly I heard the cheering and chanting of hundreds as a strong hand came down on my shoulder.
