Chapitre 76: Past - 39

"Good Evening. What can I do for you, ma'am?" The young woman standing behind the counter asked politely with a slight smile on her face.

"I've been kidnapped. I need a phone and the police." Just as she said that in her panic-filled voice her chest heaved. 'What if she did not believe me?'

  The young woman's eyes widened, she immediately looked behind Regina. 

Regina had poured her heart out to a stranger and all she could do was stare. "Can I borrow your phone?" She asked again as her voice wavered, and tears in her eyes came back to life. 

That woman nodded hesitantly, clearly not quite understanding what to do.

Taking the phone Regina's hands shook, as she pressed the phone number of someone she knew by heart and dialed. Her tears started falling when the call connected.

A joy, a sense of happiness filled her heart, she was finally able to talk to Jason. She waited for him to pick it up.
