“And, too, I look totally sexy in blue,” Jimmy announced, leaning back and spreading his arms wide.
Barry laughed. “You do. But you’d look sexy in whatever color you wore.”
“Oh, please,” Jake groaned. “Don’t encourage him.”
“And red’s totally your color,” Barry told Jake. “Makes you look dangerous and hot.”
“Hey, I thought I was the hot one?” Jimmy protested.
Barry wrapped an arm around Jimmy’s neck and tried to give him a noogy. “Both my cowboys are hot.” Maybe Jimmy edged Jake on the hotness front, but Jake made up for that with his beauty.
Barry caught a glimpse of the mantel clock. “Shit!” he leapt to his feet. “I need to start dinner!”
“Down, boy,” Jake said, pulling Barry onto his lap.
“Jake,” Barry protested.
“We told the hands at lunch that you were taking the afternoon off,” Jimmy said, rubbing Barry’s leg.
“Oh, you did, did you?”
“Yes I did,” Jimmy replied smugly.
