KELLY’s POV
After breakfast, Cheol gathered all of my belongings and carried my bag as I stood there watching him shuffle down the stairs as quietly as possible, and I followed suit, clutching the hem of his shirt from behind. I didn't say anything.
Cheol told me that escaping through the front door wasn't the best idea, but Lorie had assured him that she would make sure he didn't get caught if he did.
As promised, we made it safely to the main door, but as soon as Cheol opened it, my eyes widened as I saw my father standing in the doorway, his back to us, and my heart skipped a beat.
We came to a complete stop, taking a slow step back, but dad turned around as soon as he became aware of our presence. He was also taken aback at first, but he soon recovered his composure.
"Good morning, Princess..." his face beaming with delight as he greeted me. Dad hugged me tightly with one hand, while the other was clutching a mug of coffee.
