Charlie Parker, a 27-year-old CEO and hotel owner in San Diego, is cold and reserved, having remained single for two years following a tragic event in his life. Fear continues to dominate him until he encounters Angelica Mahoe, a 22-year-old beautiful girl who captures his heart at first sight.
He saves Angelica from the cruelty of her fiancé, Darren, helping her break free from poverty and entering into an intimate yet ambiguous relationship due to his lingering fear of the past.
Angelica feels torn, gradually becoming uncomfortable, especially as she must continually hide their intimacy from her mother, who desires her to marry—a stark contrast to Charlie, who avoids labeling their relationship.

This is a story that tells about a girl who wants the beauty of marriage but falls in love with a man who is afraid of marriage. Their respective principles make them have to fight against their respective egos to be together, as well as against the people around them who so hard want to separate them. there are lots of hidden facts that make them realize that they are meant to be together.
Nice story, I like Angelica's character, she seems like a fun and cute girl. And Charlie looks like he's an arrogant man who thinks he knows it all. think we need more stories like this one and the author really knows how to twist events which makes the story more fun. I'm really looking forward to read more novels from the author and specially this one.

I love this novel ,and I love reading it ,it have a nice ongoing story that I like to read and discover everyday , I hope the best for the writer of this novel in his life
