Each subsequent time Percy had to drink traditional medicine, he would put on an extremely reluctant face. At first, Isabel didn't realize that Percy was doing it on purpose, so she would patiently coax him each time. Later, once after going to the restroom, she returned to his hospital room just as the nurse was delivering the freshly prepared medicine. "Mr. Stanton, drink this while it's hot."
From outside the room, Isabel clearly heard Percy's calm response: "Hmm, I know, put it down."
She found this surprising. Every time she gave him his medicine, he'd grimace and refuse to drink it. But why was he now agreeing to take the medicine so easily?
Isabel quietly pouted, standing by the window. She covertly peeked into the room, where she could see Percy lifting the bowl of medicine and taking a few sips. However, once the nurse left the room, he quickly put the bowl back down on the table.
