Chapitre 46: Chapter 46: Simple deal
Standing outside the door to the house that led straight to the Nightosphere, I stood there, my visage now back to the skeleton body I had grown used to, the skin and flesh having turned to dust and been blown away in the wind, a sight that would have scared a normal human if they had seen what happens.
"So what's the offer?" I asked as I looked at Abadeer, who pulled a broom from nowhere and began to sweep away the dust that had fallen down on the ground. It took him a minute to do so, and then he threw the broom away, causing it to burst into flames until nothing was left of it.
"Simple, my skeletal friend! I want to hire you as a cleaner!" Hunson's words were enthusiastic, but his offer left me feeling a bit insulted and confused. However, when I politely attempted to turn down the offer, Abadeer spoke, realizing my confusion.
"I need you to go put down those rebellions in the outskirts of my territory because, let me be honest, it gets annoying to have to go deal with those upstarts myself," Abadeer explained bluntly.
'oh that type of cleaner!' I knew I should have expected as much, considering it was Hunson. Honestly, I was considering accepting the offer because, let's be honest, there had to be a lot of strong demons, meaning there would be plenty of experience to be earned. However, first, I wanted to wipe out the vampires, and I wasn't sure how strong the demons were there. So, I had to ask about that first.
'I would love to accept but I will need a couple years to wipe out the vampires and I why chose me I bet there are many demons stronger than me' I spoke my voice across the mind bridge that abadeer had formed, when? don't know but it was there.
"That's okay. Also, don't worry; most upstarts are probably a bit stronger than you are right now. And if I'm being honest, I feel once you're done with those vampires, you will be more than strong enough for the job. Well, anyways, see you soon," Abadeer said before promptly entering the house again, leaving me standing there for a moment before I began to make my way back home.
The journey was quick as I returned right when the sun had finally set, but what I found when I arrived left me slightly shocked. Dozens, no, hundreds of people were gathered around five crosses, each with what I identified as vampires nailed to them, unable to move as they were stoned and beaten by the mob of people that surrounded them. The light of the torches was the only lighting in the surrounding area.
'The fuck is going on!' Thats all I could wonder as I immediately went to find my Emma or Duke to explain not knowing what was to come would soon be headache inducing
