Clarissa stopped and narrowed her eyes. There had to be a catch. "Why? You know how much I want you dead."

"Even if you knew everything there was to know about me you still wouldn't be able to kill me."

"I wouldn't bet my life on that if I were you," she said to him as she narrowed her eyes at her cheetah who went to Kieran for a rub.

Now that she thought about it, Mari never made an attempt at defending her during the fight. When did those two get so close? Or could he be controlling Mari? 

"But you're not." his eyes were on hers all this time and he could read her quite well. He saw the confusion in her eyes of seeing her cheetah being so close to him.

She hesitated considering what he said.

"Don't tell me you're actually considering this.  Leonard said with disbelief."
