Chapitre 54: King Brisbois (b)
Very far far away in the kingdom of Magyo, a handsome middle-aged man who had a finely built body could be seen cradling in the midst of several beauties. He was calm and cold but a tinge of apprehension could be seen on his face, this sense of alarm was so distant that it was almost unrecognizable.
Anyway, Brisbois was enjoying his wine in his backyard with these beauties, it was not that he wanted to indulge in this sexual moment at this time but he simply wanted to calm down his heart and also, on this day, it was the day that he was to oversee the improvement that his weapon makers had made.
Behind Brisbois, a menacing castle could be seen but that was not the focus of the people in this backyard, it was the huge menacing ballista in front of them.
"Your majesty, Why are you so adamant about bringing down the kingdom of Azuhai? Because from what I know, there is nothing to gain from that place. It will just bring about an added responsibilities upon our shoulders which is really unnecessary. Conquering the kingdom of Litkesh would have been a hundred times much better." A very old man who was standing beside Brisbois with a walking stick in his hand asked. This was of course king Brisbois' advisor, he was used to Brisbois' coldness and thus, he was unafraid about bringing what was on his mind to the table.
"Ahem! Do you really want to know why I am determined to destroy the kingdom of Azuhai?" Brisbois stared at the old man's eyes directly. His tone had a tinge of mock and derision as if the old man was asking a rhetorical question that didn't have to be answered.
The old man waved his walking stick for a couple of times as he hesitated whether he should go on with this conversation, but when he looked up and saw that Brisbois was still staring at him, he shivered and said,
"I am uninformed your majesty, Please let me know what is your reason." As the old man said this, a battered man, could be seen kneeling in front of Brisbois and his women, this man had dried blood all over his body and even his clothes were wholly drenched in his own blood which made them to have several crimson shades. Of course, the man was missing some of his appendages and it seemed as if he might die at any moment. The man was groaning painfully as his lips moved up and down as if he was trying to say something but his voice could not be heard, it was only soft whimpers that came out of his mouth,
Apparently, this man was among the people who were sent to the kingdom of Magyo by king Virtya so that they could sell their items in this kingdom but he was unlucky to have been chosen to step into Magyo where he met the cruel king Brisbois. The man wanted to die, but Brisbois could not satiate his want even after he had gotten all the information that he wanted from the man.
"The kingdom of Azuhai gives me the creeps. Its existence is chocking me and I can't allow it to continue existing, I have to erase it from the map of this world. I killed king Markov thinking that this feeling will go but that action only made the feeling to be upped. I feel tense and irritated each time I think of Azuhai, I want nothing but to finish it all." Brisbois spat aside a mouthful of spittle before he shoved aside the women who were cradling on him.
He stood up and squatted before the battered man.
"Why do I feel like I am about to meet a worthy opponent?" Brisbois asked the battered man but because the man's voice could not be heard, Brisbois thought that he was disrespecting him for not answering his question thus, without saying much, Brisbois took out his dagger from its scabbard on his waist and then stabbed the man's head, the kneeling man fell sideways but Brisbois didn't stop, he continued to stab the man's head as the blood splattered on his clothes and his face which made him to look hideous. Beside Brisbois, his women and girls could be seen laughing and smiling as Brisbois stabbed the man without stopping.
"Pu!"
Brisbois stood up and spat on top of the grotesque sight of what was the head of the agent from Azuhai. This act didn't satisfy Brisbois but it only made his frown to deepen.
"Tell me about the improvements that had been made on this ballista." Brisbois turned to a scrawny man with blond hair, this man was the person who was working upon the ballista that would be used by Brisbois for war with Azuhai. Even if Azuhai was considered not a worthy opponent to Magyo kingdom, that didn't mean that Brisbois would go easy on them, he was a person who didn't take anything lightly even if that anything didn't deserve it.
