When the next morning arrived, Eve and the twins took a stroll around the castle with the royal family. The castle had more windows that were opened, letting the rays of sunlight into the white building and displaying its beauty. It made Eve think of the Howvale castle, how it would look with so much light illuminating the inside, and she concluded it was better the way it is: dark and beautiful.

"So many things about the vampires aren't true. I thought the sun burns them so badly they end up charred," Queen Merida said to Evelyn, watching the vampire guards walking directly under the sun rays in front of them.

Eve chuckled, "You'd be surprised to learn some of them do sunbathe," she said, and the human Queen turned to look at her as if to say, 'you must be kidding me.'
