That included not giving out any details about his ability even if it was to a close ally that he had come to trust deeply.

His ability was his lifeline so he could not let others come to know how it worked or its flaws that could be exploited.

Sloane took in the sights once more all around him from the high hillside overlooking other pieces of land.

He got up onto his feet and started to walk down towards the direction of his home where his mother and father were waiting.

His father continued to work on the fields and tended to his mother so he dod not have any major worries about leaving her behind for some time.

It would take quite some time for him to get settled in the place he was going to so he was relieved to have someone to take care of things while he was gone.

He offered those he would not see again some help with some minor chores and said his farewells but there was one concerning topic that kept cropping up.
