She had not been in touch with him so he couldn't help but worry about her during such a time when anything could happen between the time that Ash had not been in contact with him.

What he did not tell Ash during their messages was that his days had not been too good either.

Despite wanting to heal his body and properly recover from the beating he took, he was not allowed to properly recover like he wanted.

He was called out on more tasks that he could not refuse and each was just as demanding as the last.

Not only did his body not recover but he had to worry during every moment of his task about how poor his body was.

Too much movement was very bad for him since it caused him a lot of pain and he was constantly trying his best to reduce any further damage to his body too.

That made his performance drop a lot since he was nowhere near how he usually performed.
