The Spirit walked on its four paws across the ground as it maintained its gaze on Ash moving side to side blocking her path.

If there was some form of connection between the location and the appearance of the Spirit then it would probably be how the location was often used for a wide variety of activities.

The surrounding area had a lot of fields and tree areas that would often be associated with wildlife of different kinds while many places were used regularly by people walking their dogs.

They walked along the fields and the hidden trails with their dogs so it would not be strange for some canine Spirits to be created nearby.

Some Spirits were connected to the history of the land while others were made from the present circumstances surrounding them.

The Spirit in front of her seemed like it was mainly manifested from the present circumstances since it had the appearance most similar to a large dog rather than some more dangerous wild animal.
