Chapitre 2: How it all started....

16th centuary.....

The early morning rays, were hitting his light fawn colored eyes, as his gaze was fixed on the path ahead. The weather was extremely nice and appealing, as if something amazing was about to occur in his life. His dark hair dancing happily at the touch of the rapid wind, passing through as the man rapidly rode on the gigantic black horse with a proud smirk on his face.

The long and gigantic battle between the seven strongest lands had been won by him and he had become the most powerful ruler ever born! As per his usual habbit, he was now riding on the horse amidst the city, crossing all the busy streets and lands, celebrating his victory. Several people were waiting for his arrival, as they all cheered for there new king. More than the happiness, people were scared of him. He was known to have killed thousands of men with his sword, while his sharp brain could sense any evil plot against him.

The black horse rapidly crossed the streets and the man's stern gaze, made several people sweat. They all wondered how there new king will turn out to be. The man has also supposed to have killed his step mothers. Who ever his father married was found dead under unkown circumstances, except the king's own mother. The mighty elderly king, himself feared his son, Voltus.

The man possesssed a gigantic army of thousands of loyal men, who fought bravely for him, while he also posseesed thousands of advisers and helpers, who never dared to cheat him. Once, when one of his senior advisors had lied to him about the treasure, he was made to tie with a horse's leg and was made to drag on the city roads, in front of everybody to see. The entire city, including the adviser's own family had witnessed his death as the roads were covered with his blood.

The man had now turned 28 and he had not even married once, unlike other kings of his age who already had married several times. While other kings often get the husbands of several woman killed to marry them for there beauty, he had never found the woman who had the beauty or brains to captivate his heart. The man was yet without a queen, raising several questions in minds of people.

Maybe king does not like women? Maybe king is so cruel that all women are scared of him? If he does not marry, then who will be the heir to his throne?

Voltus was aware of all the fingers pointing at him, though nobody except his mother dared to point it out to him.....

"Why cannot you find a woman worthy of your tastes?" Always spoke the man's mother.

"I cannot just fall for anybody mother! Surely, she will be the most beautiful lady of all lands and will also have several special traits. She will not be any normal girl." The boy would always reply, trying to coax his mother.

"Sigh! I don't know, who you are looking for. I have made you to meet thousands of finest looking women who are from highly noble families. What else do you want?" The middle aged lady always asked in much perplexity.
