Chapitre 35: POISON
A hundred beasts and rouge wolves are running down the woods heading to the Stronghold Village. They are over confident that their attack will be as successful like the Opal Moon.
"Capture their Luna and kill their Alpha!". The leader shouted to his subordinates. The same words that's running to his head before they attacked. It's more like a chant inside his head. all the rogues growl in agreement.
The hundred rogue wolves and beasts are like mercenaries. Ready to kill and be killed. They have no control of their body. Their heads are only seeking blood and now they are going to get some.
The front line of the Shadow Claw didn't smell anything from their surroundings but they can hear branches cracking. They got ready. The veins on their heads are now popping they are ready to shift. The word 'NOW' echoed inside their heads and every wolf shift. In a matter of minute they saw a raging dark aura heading towards them.
"ATTACK!". The lead warrior of the first pack shouted and all followed. They are going head to head with the enemy.
A bloody battle of wolves versus wolves and wolves versus beasts starts. Rampage everywhere. Rogue wolves who don't care about their lives are storming in the middle of death. They claw and bite the warriors of the Shadow Claw. Shredding the body of their enemies into pieces mercilessly.
The Shadow Claw front line are almost wiped out. The elder leader warrior scanned the area and saw death of his comrades. None were left with only wounds but a total death. Their blood spilled on their own land. He never encountered such vicious enemies like this before. They are blood seekers. He howled with grief and anger, they need to run back and reunite with the other members of the packs. The remaining wolves of the Shadow Claw quickly run to the walls. They need their strong Alpha now. They will join him and their brothers to avenge their comrades.
Everyone heard the elders howl and their eyes burst into tears and their heart was filled with rage. The front line are almost wiped out. That's his message.
Selena heard the howl too and saw the reactions of the people around her. She's not a wolf yet but she can understand what that howl means.
Growls everywhere and the popping veins of all the people are showing. They are all angry and ready to shift.
Luke and Selena look at each other. The word 'I LOVE YOU' was whispered in the wind. In a matter of minutes the rest of the Shadow Claw Pack front lines are running towards them and behind them are rogues with dark auras. Hungry for bloods.
Luke and the rest of his Pack shifted as soon as they saw the enemies rushing towards them. They charged towards the enemies who were chasing their brothers. Selena followed behind Luke. Her legs are not as fast as them and she was almost left behind but it doesn't mean no enemies will come to her because there are already rogue wolves come running towards her.
Selena noticed the rogues are heading to her location. Her eyes seek for help but everyone seems to be busy even Luke. She tighten her grip to the silver daggers that Luke gave her before they leave. Like she promised, she will fight beside her Alpha. She will use all her abilities to support Luke and help all his people.
"Selena!".
Someone called her name. A woman's voice. She ignored it.
"Let's fight together!".
Selena don't know who was talking to her but she agreed. "Okay!".
She felt a strange air hugged her body and it gave her a different feeling of strength and lightness. She feels like there something inside her that was awaken. Her grip to the silver knife changes and she feels like she knows all her next move like a trained warrior and she can sense a lot of things beside her. She saw the rogues jump over her ready to tackle her. She quickly kneel down and bend her body backwards to dodge the attack. She is almost laying on the ground and she can see the wolf's body in front of her. She raised her dagger and slashed its belly. The wolf cried in pain and her hands are suddenly drenched in blood. To her surprised, she doesn't seem to be frightened by blood and death. What she feels is like a deja vu. A battle ground with a pool of blood. Screams everywhere. Death everywhere.
"Have I been here before?". She asked herself wondering. And a 'YES' click inside her head.
The other rogue saw what happened to his comrade. He falls back. Selena got up drenched with blood. She face the other rogue holding the daggers in front of her face. She's holding her daggers in a reverse grip. She feels more convenient this way it's like using her elbow attack. The rogue's order is to capture the Luna and kill the Alpha and he needs to follow the order. He jumped but not as high like the other rogue. He will tackle and capture her alive. His paws landed on the ground holding nothing the next thing he notice is a back of a woman and silver dagger to his throat.
Selena scanned the place to look for Luke. Her eyes landed to a big wolf attacked by three rogues. She rushed there to lend a hand. She tackled one rogue and the others were startled. They both looked to Selena's direction. The wolf they're trying to slaughter earlier saw the opportunity though he was puzzled how did she took their attention like she became their instant target and totally forgot about him. 'Are they looking down on me?'. Rage fills him and savagely attack the two wolves then he saw how Selena cut the other ones throat. He was staring at her when she suddenly looked at him. He saw her smile and open her mouth.
"FURBALL!". She exclaimed.
'Damn this woman still know me?'. Dusk was surprised.
"See you later.... Don't get killed and also avoid their claws!". She gave him warm smile and run.
Dusk was confused but got curious. Selena warned him about the rogue's claw. Except for blood he can smell a faint oil in their bodies. He tried to smell their paws and it made him almost vomit. Under those sharp nails carries poison. 'How did she knows?'.
Luke saw his Mate in action. He was so proud of her. 'My feisty luna is really a good fighter!'. He said proudly to himself. He worried less for her now.
All the wolves fight with all their might but they seems to be helpless in the face of the their enemies. Every wounds on their bodies don't heal instead it weakens them. Luke noticed the situation. There are only a hundred rogues enemies while the Shadow Claw have almost a thousand warriors but they are being defeated.
"Luke.... Look out!".
He heard Selena's voice and when he raised his head five wolves are going to attack him, viciously. He ready himself to fight back but everything around him freeze. He saw Selena running towards him but he didn't move. His instinct told him to.
"Luke be careful of their claws it contains poison!". Selena said to a non moving Luke. She wished her words could reach him. She ready herself after saying the information she discovered. Once she released them she needs to fight back.
The spell was broken and Selena moved as quick as she can. She slashed the throat of the two wolves who tried to harm her Alpha. Then she almost drop to the ground but tried hard to steady herself. Using too much of her ability drains her energy but he don't want Luke to get worry. Luke also move much faster and strike death to the three remaining wolves. He was thankful to Selena's information. He send message everywhere. 'Dodge their claws, they contained poison'.
The information was helpful. Now they understand why the rogues can defeat them easily. They are using dirty tricks. The battle last for a long time until the situation turned. The enemies are decreasing. Some are running cowardly to save their selves.
