Chapitre 13: LITTLE HONEY
Selena's consciousness is slowly coming back. She heard a lot of noises but she can't seem to open her eyes. Her head is spinning and she feel nauseous. She wants to move but her body is dead tired.
"How is she?".
Selena heard a man's voice. 'Luke!'. She said inside her mind. She will never forget the sound of his voice because it's already carved inside her heart. 'Thank God he's alright!'. She felt relieved knowing he is fine.
"She just lost her consciousness. It's like she used up all of her energy".
Another voice came but she failed to recognize it. It's new to her ears.
"Oh my... I hope nothing bad happen to my little honey. I'm still looking forward to be her mother in law".
'Sounds like Avery..... and who is her little honey..... mother in law?'. Selena got confused.
"Don't worry mother I won't let my Mate to slip away from my hands".
'MATE?'.
Selena heard a faint voice but did not give much attention to it. She thought it was just from her head. She tried to open her eyes slowly.
"She's awake!". Avery sat beside her bed smiling. "Little honey how are you?..... You got us all so worried". She brushed Selena's long hair gently.
"Selena, how are you my love?". There's great worry in Luke's eyes. He hold Selena's hand tightly and kissed the back of her hand.
"Luke.... Are you alright?". Selena said with her hoarse voice. She was very worried. He got hurt because of her.
"I'm fine my love. You shouldn't worry about me".
His soothing deep voice sounds great in Selena's ears. But a question pop inside her head and she wants to know if she really did heard it right. This male god of her just called her, MY LOVE. She decided to confirm it later because right now she's still very tired. She lost her consciousness again with a smile on her face.
Luke's study room.
"Quin is keep asking for Selena". Drew informed Luke about the annoying blonde girl who keep on bugging them.
"That damned woman... If I really find out that she has something to do with all of this she won't scape my wrath". Luke growl in anger. Thinking how he almost lost Selena. He wanted to tear that blonde girl apart.
"We can't just do that..... She's your business partner's daughter. Besides she help a little. Though the process is cruel. Let Selena handle her when she wakes up". Drew tried to put some sense in his Alpha's mind. He don't want him to lose his control now or hell might break lose.
"Thanks for saving me back there". Luke is being grateful to his Beta's assistance. He never once doubt his loyalty and capability.
"Hey, you're my Alpha it's my job to save you and my future Luna, but..." He paused and his forehead wrinkled. "I was so sure that those rogues have you in their claws already. I tried to increase my speed to save you but I was surprised when you shifted so fast and then saw Selena laying on the ground almost lifeless. What happened in there?". Confusion was written all over Drew's face.
Luke stared at his Beta for a while. He is his most trusted wolf or man on his side. He decided to tell him a secret about his Luna.
"Selena have an ability to freeze or probably stop the time for a second or two but I'm not still sure about it". He remembered Selena's eyes back there. It's not the usual hazel brown eyes that she have, it turned to gold when she freezes everything but he have no intention of telling it to his Beta for now. "I want to ask her myself when the time is right". Luke was still confused about his mate's ability. He himself can't believed what happened that day.
"That is so awesome!". Drew was amazed. Their future Luna is not an ordinary human after all. She has ability.
"No one should know about this for now. I'm not sure if she herself knows what she can do". That thought made Luke a bit worried.
"Now that's troublesome". Though Drew understands him. He wants to protect his Mate, their Luna. "If what you say is true then this is probably new for her. I'm not sure how will she take all of this".

Selena woke up and noticed she's in a big room. The bed she was lying is huge. At least five person can lay in comfort plus the fact that it is very soft and comfortable. She turned her head on her side and saw a figure sitting in a couch not moving.
"Luke?". Selena called his name but the figure didn't move.
'He's probably asleep'. She thought. She raised her hands and looked at it. 'I used it again'. She made a fist and decided to stand up. 'I need to get out of here'.
"What are you doing?".
Selena got startled. She didn't notice Luke woke up and now standing in front of her. She felt like a burglar who just been caught.
"Ahm..... How's your injury?". She dodge his question but felt a bit embarrassed. Thinking what he called her before she lost consciousness makes her cheeks burn red.
"I asked first, what are you trying to do?". Luke sounds so serious. He even crossed his arms in his chest then looked at her with knitted brows.
"Going back to my room?". Her answer sounds like a question.
"What's wrong with my room?".
"This is your room?". Selena was stunned. She scanned the place and almost whistle. Luke's room is bigger than their house.
"Yes, it's my room". Luke walk beside his bed and sits on Selena's side. "Your not planning to scape, are you?".
Selena swallowed hard. The man sitting beside her makes her throat dry. "Why would I scape, I'm not a criminal, haha". And she let out a dry laugh.
"Okay , then lay down and sleep. I'll watched over you". Luke is about to assist her to lay when she stopped him.
"I want to sleep in my room at the guest house". She lowered her head when she asked him out of embarrassment.
Silence.
Selena didn't hear any response from Luke so she lifted her head to look at him. She saw sadness in his eyes while looking at her. Her heart aches for some reason.
"Do you hate me?". He asked with a hint of sadness in his voice. He was looking deep into her eyes.
Selena panicked. His question squeeze her heart in pain. "No of course not, why would I?". She got worried. Seeing him with that kind of sadness in his eyes makes her wants to cry.
"Then stay".
"Okay". She instantly answered without thinking. She admits defeat today. In her heart she knows she can't say no to her male god who only wants to care about her. Besides she still owes him her life. That's what she thought.
"Good girl". Luke smiled widely. He even patted her head. He thought Selena would throw a fit before she could agree to stay in his room. He can't believed how easy for him to talked to her.
'My feisty Mate seems obedient'. He thought.
