Chapitre 98: Unimaginable

The shopping mall has all the noise and the excitement of the patrons out to have fun. Iris scanned her surroundings slowly. It was her first time to be inside a mall and she was having a hard time, taking in everything that was around her. 

Iris' eyes were rounded as she followed a group of young girls around her age, noting the clothes they were wearing, the way they linked each other's arms on each other's elbow or waist, how they laughed and talked over each other's sentences and did not seem to mind. 

She exhaled a soft breath of amazement and envy. She never had a friend growing up. She and Monette, although they were near each other's age, Monette seemed to be interested only in her when she was bored and in need of someone to piss or show off the new beautiful things that she acquired.
