Marcotte rolled her eyes at her older brother and popped another grape into her mouth. Her servant was standing two feet away from her side, fanning her. She had been bored and had been eating a lot of fresh fruits while she could still enjoy them. 

They both know that their father is insane. And his height of insanity is when he plays God. Just like what he is trying to make her do right now. He knows a long time ago, and she makes sure to remind him as often as she could that she does not want to have a husband or be someone's woman. 

But Lord Louis—her egotistical father had decided that she must have an heir no matter what for he wanted her future child to be born into someone who would not super from any illness.
