Chapitre 100: Getting Even

"How about you cut it yourself?" Iris said.

Calixto dropped the call, startled upon hearing Iris's voice from Mariano's phone. He clenched his hand into a fist, thinking how Iris answered Mariano's phone. 

They were friendly and familiar with each other but answering the other's phone was too much. He blew an angry breath and dialed Mariano's phone again, expecting Iris to answer him but it was Mariano who answered. 

"Boss, you are all over the place. Do you still want to go through the plan?"

"Why do you let her answer your phone?" 

"Sorry, boss. I was in the toilet and Iris borrowed my phone." 

"Doesn't she have her own phone? Get her a new one!" He snapped at him. He knew that his anger was out of line but he could not help himself. 

"Go with the plan," he said, standing away from his table and walking out of the restaurant without glancing at Mariano and Iris when he passed by their table.
