Chapitre 21: JEEn-yus

1 month had taken place since ryo had received his weapon, once again substantial progress was made presumably due to him having made contact with his zanpaktou spirit but his asauchi had begun metamorphosis its shape turned into that of a long sword the opposite of Ichigo's sword with it being overly skinny instead of big it sported different shades of gold on its scabbard and the blade was already in the process of turning into an almost golden hue at this point he was already planning on revealing his true power after only a month of offensive training with his sensei he'd easily mastered everything to the point where he was better at it and could expand on the technique's.

He was well versed in kido and with his rietsu training the spells that were being taught were simple to him and he could easily use up to 30 techniques with shortened phrases still far from Aizen and Urahara who could easily use forbidden hado as if they were merely taking a walk in the park, but it would take anyone else decades to master the amount that ryo has been able to.

All of that were just a few of the things he'd accomplished. Ryo was certain he could outclass most lieutenants in battle. Today was the day he resolved to apply for early graduation after only spending a few months in the academy his preposterous growth even though he tried to hide it had become a huge talk around the academy everyone treated him as a prodigy if he continued hiding his strength it'd just be suspicious. Ryo was making his way toward the dean's office to request early graduation. He stood in front of the door ready to knock when the headmaster inside spoke up, "you can enter"

ryo wasn't surprised that the headmaster noticed his presence since he made no effort in hiding it, as he entered the headteacher could be seen seated in a large brown chair in front of a few pieces of paperwork, he motioned for ryo to sit while looking at him curiously and twirling his mustache, ryo decided to break the silence by speaking up first

" I assume you know why I'm here, sir. "

"yes, I'm aware. In fact, I'm surprised you didn't come earlier"

"my apologies for that as some may know I'm a shy person," ryo answered

"I see, your request is accepted but before you can graduate ill have to test you "

ryo already had some sort of idea of what it might be 'probably making me go against some shinigami... nothing too difficult, it'll be easy '

"you are perhaps the greatest genius this academy has ever seen, even surpassing the likes of captain gin and I dare say even captain Toshiro, you are well versed in every area of this school's teachings and the art of combat ... You are perhaps stronger than most of the teachers already," the headteacher paused before continuing, "therefore instead of having you fight a regular shinigami you'll go against a lieutenant instead"

"hmmm...." ryo muttered he could beat most current lieutenants depending on which one and it'd be a great opportunity to see how he would fare against the main cast and villains

"you don't have to win just last a few minutes even if only 30 seconds I'll pass you and as for your opponent most of the lieutenants were busy, dealing with some issues but lieutenant yachiru is willing to spar with you"

hearing this ryo immediately stood up "head I don't think I should fight her she's just so small and tiny and I would feel bad trying to harm her " he was trying his best to find any excuse not to considering she was literally Kenpachi's bankai and if Kenpachi sensed his potential, he would continuously annoy him and try to fight him he didn't need that kind of pressure from that monster 'dammnit just when I thought things were getting better it seems I'll die once again my bad luck has followed me into this life the heavens sure are cruel'

tears could visibly be seen leaking out of his eyes

HEADMASTER POV

I've been in this academy for hundreds of years yet not one student that I've seen was able to complete the feats this child has done, top scores in everything even surpassing the teachers in the subjects they were teaching and to think this much progress was made within a few months I'd be skeptical if I didn't see it with my own eyes I wasn't sure when I got the results of his examination but to think he'd surpass our expectation, during this week I'd already contacted lieutenant yachiru to test him and luckily she agreed but when I mentioned it to this young boy he started crying, did I overestimate him...no is it really true that he couldn't imagine hitting such a cute looking person oh well too late for that as I was speaking yachiru was already on her way with captain kenpachi it might take a while as they both have a tendency to get lost, thinking of it now it was incredible to think they couldn't even reach a building that was precisely right in front of them truly astounding...but back to the main topic Ryo the genius boy was speaking nonsense crying his heart out

"calm down they'll get here in an hour or so she's with her captain so don't be too pressured," I said trying to get him calm but it caused the opposite effect instead he screamed "CAPTAIN KENPACHI!!!! HEAVENS KILL ME NOW I BEG OF YOU!!! I stood up and began leading him out the door not before mentioning he had to go into the private training grounds I quickly shut the door and locked it the moment he was outside

"jeez, genuine geniuses really are eccentrics. All the others were pretty quiet.. but none can compare to him," I sighed. Today was a loud day.

RYO POV

I was escorted out of his office.; it was ridiculous. I had so many things good going for me and I took them for granted. Now God has resolved to teach me a lesson. It was heart-wrenching. ryo went to the private training area he was busy calming his nerves as this was going to be his first ever encounter with one of the main characters he was there for a whole hour and nobody showed up "what the hell are they lost or something, this academy is literally in the middle of this district" this was even worse than in the anime it was perplexing how could someones sense of direction be this disarrayed this could pose a threat to Zoro ryo started to rise up and stretch he could sense two large forms of energy heading his way "they're finally here it seems" despite his previous statements he had a smile on his face and was ready to fight he took out his asauchi it still wasn't a fully developed zanpaktou yet but it was close to finally becoming one ryo felt that this fight could help him reach that final thresh hold a huge figure appeared in front of him he was in shock he couldn't even sense them appearing in front of him almost as if they were ghosts which they technically are only the sound of bells jingling alerted him a loud deep voice began speaking

"so you're that so-called genius heh"

"yes I am," I stated, not backing down. I could already sense Kenpachi releasing some of his pressure. It was bearable, but I had to concentrate not to fall on my knees.

"not bad kid, " Kenpachi said while grinning

a smaller voice on his shoulder spoke, "Kenny he seems strong, let me fight him now," yachiru said in her childlike voice

"a hahaha!!! make it quick yachiru"

she jumped while using a flash step to immediately materialize in front of me I once again made a mental note to learn the flash step 'ill have to learn it after the academy sadly they don't teach it here

yachiru held her small hands out, which I shook while she began introducing herself

"hii!! I'm yachiru lieutenant of the 11th division, I like eating sweet stuff and fighting powerful people and this is Kenny," Kenpachi grunted in response. I also introduced myself.

"uh, I'm Ryo. I like training and getting stronger"

"alright ryo let's fight now," she took out her zanpaktou "I won't be using my abilities against you just strictly a sword fight you can do whatever you want"

"alright I understand," ryo said

This was just a spar, but he planned on using some of the moves in his arsenal to gain the advantage. But he'd try fighting with just the sword first to gauge his strength level.

ryo took a battle stance ready to both defend and attack yachiru took off and appeared in front of him with frightening speed but he was able to react to it in time to dodge an attack aiming for his head he jumped back a few meters to gain distance 'that attack was fast but I was able to dodge it seems our speed is around the same ' this time ryo went on the offensive he used his sword as if it was a spear thrusting it towards her she managed to dodge but had to block some with her sword she began using flash step to appear in his blind spots but those attacks were predictable he only had to slightly change trajectories with a counterattack to fend her off this time he threw his sword at her as she appeared a few meters in front of him she used flash step once again to disappear behind him but ryo had a reishi string attached to h he pulled it controlling it to go behind him yachiru reacted too late and couldn't fully dodge she suffered a scratch on her left chin

"I was right about you, you really are strong ryo-Kun"

she took an offensive stance she began moving faster, but I was already adapted to her speed I was easily able to block her attacks at this point we'd been fighting for 10 minutes and it was just parrying attacks even Kenpachi was already snoring on the floor "alright lieutenant yachiru this is getting boring attack with your strongest ability and ill do the same "

"Are you sure Ryo-Kun?" I nodded.

I heard her whisper auto reflex as I activated the void. I sped up to attack her.... TO BE CONTINUED.
