Chapitre 160: Endgame (2)- Barrier Malfunction

Hugo and Mist's killing spree came to an untimely end when the girl paused to look at her Comm device. Her face turned unsightly in a few seconds until she finally closed the device and then turned to Hugo.

"Hey, Physician is calling us back to base. There seems to have been some sort of malfunction of the shields in other places."

Hugo froze a little as he realized the consequences that would have on the multiple humans living under the protection of the shields and at the mercy of the Plague. It was undoubtedly terrifying and many lives would be lost.

"Fucking Vector!"

He unfurled his wings and rushed back to the base as fast as he could. As his body ripped through the air followed by the thwacking noise that came from breaking the sound barrier, an unbelievable amount of pressure descended on his body causing him to scoff.
