Chapitre 1050: A Woman?

Cao Mei lived in an old residential cluster that was more than 30 years old. There was only a security guard dozing off in the security booth at the entrance. The surveillance camera had been broken for an unknown period of time. It hung above the entrance, covered in dust.

Cao Mei walked deeper into the cluster in her high heels. Faint streetlamps glowed on both sides of the road.

The sound of high heels echoed in the quiet neighborhood. Cao Mei was talking on the phone to her friend when she suddenly heard a meow from ahead.

Cao Mei's eyes lit up. She smiled and called out, "Kitty?"

"Meow, meow." The cat mewed delicately.

"Kitty, come over here. I have delicious food." Cao Mei liked cats and dogs very much. She always carried some treats on her. She smiled as she ventured toward one of the more remote buildings in the cluster.

"Meow, meow, meow." The cat sounded like it was inside the building.
