As the crowd of students slowly dispersed from the battlefield, the medics were bustling around, wrapping up minor wounds, distributing potions, and ushering exhausted fighters off to rest areas. I spotted Lise across the field, sitting up on one of the healing benches and looking surprisingly unscathed. Her face was calm, and a hint of color had returned to her cheeks. I jogged over, relieved to see her in one piece.

"Hey," I said, grinning and dropping down beside her. "So, you're looking suspiciously healthy. Did they use some kind of miracle potion on you, or was your performance just that flawless?"

She smirked and rolled her eyes, giving her hair an exaggerated toss. "What can I say? I'm just that good," she quipped, though her smirk softened into a genuine smile. "No, but seriously, these healers are practically magicians themselves. I barely remember being dragged off the battlefield, and now it's like I barely even fought."
