VALENCIA'S POV

'Aurora, what the hell was that?' I couldn't help but ask my wolf as we were left alone in Maverick's apartment since he had something urgent to attend to.

If Maverick hadn't stopped me, it was almost as if I had no control over my body and mind. I was moving forward with those feelings, going as far as taking off my bra.

How could I do something like that so brazenly? The heat and the emotions I felt at that time were...if Maverick had asked me to take off my pants and spread my legs, I would've done it in a heartbeat.

"You are one naughty woman, Valencia," I told myself as I looked at my reflection before sighing.

'It was your pre-heat,' Aurora finally managed to spout, and I froze.

What did she say? Pre what? 

I looked at her wide eyes.

'Please tell me this is not true,' I said.

She shrugged at me nonchalantly as if my problems weren't hers or if we were not related at all.
