I wanted to enjoy these hot kisses and the way he was handling my body with so much care and affection, but at the same time, I needed to know what was going on. 

I hated being helpless and out of the circle the most; it would indeed play with my sleep. 

Thus, even when my body was practically begging me to have him inside me and feel the hotness of his body plastered against mine while we danced in the tempo of our desire and the pool of our arousal, I pushed him away with all the strength I could muster. 

"Maverick, you can't always slip up with the kissing and everything. I need answers this time. Why did you ask if I knew him? Have you found out anything about him?" I asked.

Maverick looked at me before humming and taking a deep breath.
