Chapitre 2: Chapter 2: Virenth Kingdom
"Cedric, did you go poopy?"
The beautiful woman picks up the baby and checks his diaper.
'I didn't even realize...being a baby kinda sucks..'
His mother changes the diaper and feeds him a bit. As his mother is feeding him, Cedric puts out his small hand and grabs her finger. She smiles immediately, before kissing him on the forehead.
"Aww, I can't wait to see the man you'll grow up into Cedric...be sure to make mommy proud. Okay?"
Cedric looks at her with big and bright blue eyes.
'Don't worry Mother, this time...I'll save you and everyone else. I'll be sure to succeed!'
"Diane! Where are you?! there you are! get the hell out here!"
An angry man with tanned skin and hazel eyes walks into the room yelling at Diane.
'Who is that man? how dare he yell at my mom! you bastard! you're lucky I'm a baby!'
Diane starts to shake a bit while speaking to the man, "O-Oh! Sorry...coming!"
She rushes out of the room after laying Cedric back down in his cradle. He is confused yet angry, but this only fuels his resolve even more. Cedric didn't know who that man was or why he was yelling but he was going to make sure that once he got older it wouldn't happen again.
'I need to calm down... I should focus on gathering mana right about now. Quickly and easily.'
He breathed slowly, that hot and cold feeling returning. Mana overruns his small body, it soon gathers and circulates into his lower abdomen. He had now formed his mana core, and even though it was dark red it was a start. If people found out that a baby had already formed his mana core they would be at his feet praising him as a genius.
But he couldn't just yet let anyone know, not even his mother. Even though people might praise him there would be some possibly threatening to harm him and his mother. Or some wanting to take such a 'genius' away.
For the rest of the night, Cedric continued to gather mana for hours on end. But soon his baby body gave out and he dozed off into a deep sleep.

The baby opens his blurry eyes to see his mother holding him in her arms. Cedric looks around to see his mother shopping a bit. Hundreds of stands and hundreds of people of many kinds stood around, some selling and some buying. The long road in what seemed to be a large kingdom was bustling with people.
'This must be the commoner area in the Virenth Kingdom. So many people, I forgot about this place...it's been so long.'
Cedric smiled at the remembrance of his past, and the people he used to be around. The friends he made in this neighborhood ended up becoming people he fought alongside in the great war.
But this place wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, because it was the area where nearly every commoner lived there were many crimes and murders that could happen and no one would bat an eye. Especially not the royals.
Even though Cedric hates the royals for everything they did, he knows that saving everybody is the right thing to do. No matter how hateful or horrible someone is, he will save them. He will do whatever it takes to truly become the hero the world needs. Cedric will stay righteous until the end.
After Diane was done shopping a bit she walked home.
In front of them, a medium-sized wooden shed stood tall, with just enough room for 2 or 3 people to live. It was going to be 3 but Cedric's father was killed by a thief just 2 months before he was born. And now he and his mother are on their own.
His mother works 2 jobs, a farming job, and a heavy-duty job.
With farming, she usually plants seeds for hours and hours across acres of land and then she has to go back and give each of them a specific amount of mana-induced water which helps grow the plants faster.
The heavy-duty job is usually her carrying large rocks for long periods of time which is having a bad influence on her body, especially her back. She works both of her jobs for small amounts of pay.
She is usually paid just 1 Krolle for 3 hours of work and 2 Krolle for 6 hours of work.
1 Krolle is nothing in the world and could only buy you a small apple, and 2 Krolle is nothing special either.
But there are three types of Krolle.
1. Copper Krolle
2. Silver Krolle
3. Gold Krolle
Copper is the most common and least valuable, silver is mostly used and common for people who live in higher-end zones of the kingdom. And of course, gold is ordinary for royalty and people of higher status.
Commoners can only dream of even touching silver, let alone gold. But Diane doesn't let that get her down, if it's for her child she will do whatever it takes.
'Mother...you worked so hard for me all this time. I swear that I will get stronger and gain a much higher status. I will stop anybody and everything from hurting you. I'll be sure to get you anything you ask of one day!'
Diane looked down at Cedric who was staring at her with teary eyes. She just smiles and wipes his small tears.
"Don't cry Cedric..mommy's here.."
She cradles him in her arms and rocks him back and forth before lying him down grabbing the cheap baby food from her makeshift bag and starting to feed him slowly but surely.
He takes every bite and swallows it gracefully.
'I need to eat as much as I can to grow big and strong quickly! once I turn 7 I'll start my physical training, and by that time my core will be refined greatly! this time... I will do it right!'
Diane finishes up by feeding Cedric and puts him to sleep, but he isn't sleeping he is only gathering his mana. She walks out of the room with a sad look on her face while gulping slowly.
"Sigh~ I really don't wanna do this kind of work...but I need Krolle to take care of Cedric.."
'It seems my mother is working some hidden job to earn money for me... Please be safe Mom!'
